So i was reading on the wiki (http://wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Wand_Upgrades) and I read the line:

"Modifications which increase the Wand's Balance and Damage only apply to Melee Balance and Damage."

Utilizing 'The Exception Proves the Rule', this leads me to believe that the Critical bonus from this particular upgrade DOES affect magic, and not just melee.

Is this true- or does that also only affect melee (making the upgrade a little pointless) ?

Critical isn't divided amongst magic and regular critical, unlike damage and balance. So as far as I know, a wand upgrade that gives critical should still effect the critical RATE of magic.

It... actually is, because nexon logic.
Magic critical doesn't take into account weapon's critical rate.

The line appears to be written before wand critical upgrades were implemented. Even then there are so few, so it's a detail people don't ever really notice.

Anyway, Magic crit doesn't use weapon/bare handed crit, and additional crit on non-magic weapons doesn't seem to have any effect on Magic crit. That said, it could probably be tested for magic weapons.

Let me know if you guys find conclusive evidence (however you'd do that...)
