I officially moved out today

I said goodbye to my teenage bedroom and welcomed a new adventure in my life. While I don't feel particularly sad, I felt nostalgic enough to take a photo. As you can see my mom works fast in testing out new paint swatches and filling the room already haha.

Overall, it's nearly surreal beginning to build a home of my own, but at least my anime life can intensify in my new bedroom I'm creating. Painting the red wall was painful. Red is such a sassy color to try and work with. Three coats of tears. I'll have to share photos of the finished product sometime soon, as I still need to hang the art work I have and put in the lantern lights. I like how it's turning out though =D

I want to set up a room for anime watching/gaming/cavern of embarrassing anime paraphernalia that I'm not brave enough to hang anywhere else, in one of the spare bedrooms, but I have a feeling it's going to stay a graveyard for things I don't use, but don't want to throw away for awhile. Partially laziness, but mostly I'd want to get some really comfy movie theater type seating (my wallet is shrieking back just typing that) and make it a room I'd never want to leave. Maybe a cat tree to really pull the concept together.

I also want a lava lamp, not sure why, but it appeals to me greatly. :llama_flower:

Moving out is nice... When you actually get your own room that isn't easily invaded. I moved to another apartment that had much bigger space and multiple bedrooms for everyone to have their own space in.

While that's nice and all... My room is actually the former balcony, with a large window wall put in place. However, as the former balcony, this room is incredibly tiny, with only enough space for a desk and a bed (though I'm not too bothered by it). To make matters worse, my room's door is a sliding see-through glass window, with the lock and curtain on the outside, and both are always open so there's light shining through, so I have very little privacy (and the people in my household just fucking barge in without warning).

I think you're lucky that you're finally living in a good place with actual privacy.

Thanks! I got it at bed bath and beyond. As soon as I saw the set I knew I'd want to design a bedroom around it. Haha Unfortunately, while I regard it as my project and room, it will mostly be used as a guest bedroom.

I actually have friends from mabinogi coming to stay with me in December, so the room will at least be enjoyed then. =D

Also, for the curious some more pictures of the house. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. Not pictures are the office and another spare room. There are no lamps in those yet, and it's dark here right now. Excuse the post move mess~

You have an amazing eye for interior decoration. Your new house looks beautiful inside! I especially love the bedroom and kitchen. Could just melt away on that bed...
