  Of course there's gonna be 2 reactions: 1. you are grateful to be able to experience the same joy as everyone else or 2. you overreact and call bs, making a scene because it is 'unfair' and ruins every other riders experience.

  Pretty much what bob said, but my opinion is that I'm cool with training seals as long as the user isn't a dick about it. Very few people will actually provide their r1 services readily and won't be degrading of those who don't and that's why me and others are against it in general. I guarentee that 95% of the players who obtain r1 Engineering or MC will believe they are superior to those who don't even if it was through training seals.

  What bothers me is that those seals put in cash shop clearly indicate that Nexon is aware of those god-awful training requirements no sane person is willing to deal with. But instead of fixing the real problem they decided to make money off it. That makes me mad.

  Instead of painting rich people as bad people, which is totally out of the situation anyway, let me give you a more accurate depiction of the current scene:
  
  You have a community of computer nerds who are interested in owning high end gaming computers to play Battlefield 8 in 17280p, full HD, extreme graphic settings and all that stuff. Within this community of gamers, there is group A and group B.
  
  Group A is made up of gamers with no friends, no families, no social lives or what-so-ever. They have the time to source for high end parts, work solely just for those parts by skipping lunch, or putting huge portions of their time to get those particular parts via MMO gold selling, item farming, etc. They do not have a social or a professional life yet, nor will they be getting that any time sooner. However, they are extremely knowledgable about where to source for the parts and how to build their rigs.
  
  Group A is an accurate representation of our current teenage/ manchildren community from the age as young as 12 to 22 (On a rough estimate).
  
  Group B is a group of gamers who loves gaming. However, they are mostly people who are married, have working lives, lives as a productive member of the working society, or devoting their lives in bringing humanity to a far better future. They do not have the time to do their research on where so do one find the cheapest computer parts, neither do they have the time to build the quantum computer from scratch. So, Group B decides it might be a smarter choice to just commission someone within the computer sales industry to build them a high end gaming computer because they have the money anyway, and it's a better investment.
  
  In this case, Group A, being jealous of Group B's superior planning, or just perhaps angry about Group B's zero fucks given policy, starts to make a rift within the community by shitting on Group B's waste of money on commissioning someone else to build their computers for them, or perhaps insulting their capabilities and knowledge of computers, and even going as far as to say that Group B is a bunch of non-dedicated gamers, and they should just leave the community as a whole because they are just buying their way for the gamer status. It's not because Group B boasted that they have new computers, no. It's because Group A is jealous of the inaccessable resources that Group B has worked hard for, and thus Group A is basically salty as fuck over Group B's benefits.
  
  Hopefully with this example, you can get a clearer picture of what is happening within Mabinogi.

  As I state in the last topic about why people react that way.
  
  1. This is what normal children is doing. You know what? 99% of the people is in 4 hour line. But that rich guy just came in the express line. What make him? the outstanding? or just a rich guy who laugh at you because he has no one to laugh with him.
  
  2. It is what people called 'get attention'. You can have this reaction IF you're still a kid. But if you old enough and have 'reason' thinking, you will know that you shouldn't do that. You can think another way, if adult do that? Well, I just... can't imagine it.
  
  And I believe who answer 2 is still a child who never experience 'work'. Because if you're an adult or do part-time work, you'll know that game is still a game. You can have better thing in life too do. And enjoy the game. Rich guy enjoy the way rich guys want, and poor guys just enjoy the way they want too. If you start compare each other (also I have discussed this in the last topic too), it'll never ended.
  
  PS. The last topic I refer to is the one Rixx started about last KR Seal training sale.

  Well, I did spend some money (45$) on the last pet boxes and about 20$ in partner cards. I can't say I'm a free player anymore but... I agreed with you.
  
  TBH, I think you can get skill training seal each week too isn't it? I can effort 1 skill training seal(15) each week by playing around 1 hour a day. But yes, having more money make you comfortable with time you have to grind and more time to have fun with the game too.
  
  I don't know about you but my way of thinking is. If it make money. That is good, because it is mean there are player still playing the game and still want to pay to get what they want. And Nexon too, would not shut down the game suddenly because it is still make money for them. If it not... well, it is mean the game is truly dying. They would probably shut down the game server in no time. Because it is not benefit them.

  Grind hours to get rank 1 windmill, grind days for EXP (yes, back then re-birthing at lv.50 was considered godly). I spent a lot of time.

  What am I going to do? Spend my whole hour of Mabinogi training a 5 minute sakura abyss skill or a 15 min meteor is taking the fun out of it. So I'm glad those seals came out so I can rank them easily.
  
  I'm no longer the student who has time after class to sit down and dedicate hours to Mabinogi like I used to. It's a shame, but it is a fact.
  
  I rarely brag about my achievements and dedicate to playing the game.
  
  Sometimes I feel people who get jealous of other people having an "easier" time, or "got lucky at gachapon", or have time to be jealous of other people's possessions have inferiority complex that they cover up by labeling a certain group and demonizing them and then claim to be the "big guy" and that making it easier is going to "ruin" the game and they are concerned players who don't want the game to be "gone".
  
  Even as a student, I didn't care if another person got a good gachapon item, paid money to get that awesome enchanted weapon, or frankly... even if they were half my total dealing higher damage than me.

  I still did not understand why people protest about the training seal. They are still a lot of things people with money have advantages. Like partners/pets which is a lot useful then just a training seal. Free player did not have access to some pets (I think almost all of them) and partners. But why make such a big deal about training seal that free player can have access/can get to that training requirement?

  Things like blacksmithing are completely bullshit to rank, without bazzar you're looking at easily 50m+ to r1 it, and it doesn't even hold the same weight as before, back when jaq and angelwing were the only two with r1 blacksmithing they controlled the economy with an iron fist, now a days blacksmithing isn't worth the money sunk into it, it's literally 'here you've done everything else for dex, good luck"
  
  I felt no shame in sealing r9-1 tailor and r9-1 blacksmithing, best money i've ever spent. Also i still have those seals for you Pure because i know you'll read this. Actually you have the 6 packages +2 loose now I KEPT MY PROMISE YOU STILL HAVE YOUR SEALS FROM ME THAT I PROMISED.

  I also feel no shame about dropping $100 on going from Rank C to Rank 1 Engineering. I've sealed Engineering, and Magic Crafting. Best thing I could have done honestly. With that I'm now fully ready for G20.
  
  But ya, I'd rather spend money on training seals to rank than deal with that insane grind. Especially as I don't have time to play Mabi between work, and social life with my coworkers.
