New players are very annoying rant

And honestly, I think Mabinogi is meant for those that have been playing since at least 07-08 since every active player knows wth they're doing. It would be too much for someone to go out of their way and show a new player EVERY. SINGLE. THING. there is to know to play Mabinogi right. (It's even more of a hassle since the new player probably wouldn't get it anyway.)

So sure ya, there's a WHOLE wiki guide on Mabinogi. (Just saying, I know someone will bring that up to hold it against me) But some people still don't get it even if that wiki exists, and yet they STILL go around trying to waste everyone's time. It's extremely annoying. Mabinogi isn't meant for new players, it's meant for REAL players.

I understand where you are coming from, but I also greatly disagree. Without new players, there wouldn't be much a point to playing because... well, the game would simply be shut down without increasing to it's community (i.e. less income to Nexon's headquarters). I understand that it's irritating to hear the same questions over and over, but you don't have to be the one to aid them in the right direction. Just point them to the forums and wiki if they need help. If they refuse to search online for answers, then let them be SOL, but don't assume all new players in their unflattering wear is incompetent. As a beta player, I've seen other veterans that can't fight worth s*** and I've seen newcomers become masters in a matter of months. *shrug*

Well, you say that without new players, there wouldn't be a point of playing without an increasing community. But really, is our community REALLY increasing at all? Mabinogi is a dying game. I see so many active players quitting left and right and new players don't even want to try once they see how far ahead the active players are in the game. And even if the new players did try, they would end up quitting anyway because of how far ahead the community is and how unwillingly most players are to help them out.

It just seems like Mabinogi isn't meant for new players and that annoys me too. Sigh. It's hard to explain. But I'm just so annoyed.

Scam lists are nice and all but when 75% of all "scams" are folks robbing people, "taking gifts back"(which is bullshit but eh), and people not knowing prices, it ends up being slander instead of actually real. Which is lovely and all but when we have a fractured market system it really doesn't hold up. Esp. since there is no central marketplace of such.

On topic; No goddamn shit. Mabinogi is a game so vast that in a grand total of seven and a half years, there are STILL mechanics and other interactions I do not know and I've spent the last two years straight finding out data and mechanics. I can't read korean or even googlebotnet translated korean, so going on their forums is worthless.

Yes, there is a wiki. No, its not perfect and there's still folks who bitch about it not having xyz when THEY CAN EDIT IT IN OR DISCUSS IT ON THE TALK PAGE. This game isn't severely complex, but it certainly isn't simple. If someone is being a constant blockhead on imparting info, don't bother. If they can't learn from you, either they learn elsewhere, or they don't learn at all. Don't rely on them in parties if they ever get to your level, or completely outclass them and curbstomp content/mission anyways. There are people who I would choke vehemently on mari for being complete and utter idiots, and in parties I do occasionally have your deaf-dumb-blind moron overwriting a 40%+ overture. I just encore if CD and refresh. Simple.

I have a difficult time teaching or coddling new people, but that doesn't mean I wont attempt or direct them to people who can. First step to teaching is that and knowing to never if possible lose your cool or become to affected by ignorance or intentional stupidity.

Let's just disregard the fact that evidence is most often never provided with scam lists that are generally on tumblr/facebook.
But don't take it from me! Look at all the scammers who are banned! Or all the scammers who don't get ANY trades at all anymore!
Oh, wait. It takes several pieces of damning evidence in order for nexon to take action against a scammer and most of the time people aren't even on the lookout for such. So by the time they've been scammed all they have is -1+ items and just their word to go by. Not to mention not everybody price checks, asks about people, or goes around parading that person A, B, and C are scammers.

I'm sorry but the fact that most of the scammer lists I've seen have been simply shit-lists, or someone being stupid, it takes a bit more for me to actually believe. It shouldn't matter because most of the "scams" are done by simply stealing lent items.

You know how in LoL normal games there's sometimes that *someone* that always becomes toxic because a player doesn't know a certain match up very well? Same thing applies in this game. Do you know how annoying it is for me trying to lure White Dragon into a corner when other people are mindlessly attacking it? Or do you even know how enough game mechanics to pull the trick even? It's surprising how many people don't listen, even for the non new players. I've played this game for awhile and my two close-to-cap stats is self-explanatory. I'm a fluent Korean speaker and you'll see me time to time in Korean sites as well. Despite all this, I still don't know all the game mechanics, and have to have other people help me with that. Now consider yourself in those people's eyes. If you were running something with them, and you do something they don't like, would they go on flaming to you? Probably not, although they might be thinking you're kind of annoying, but they still won't rant about it, because everyone is new at some point. Also, they're certainly not "trying to waste" your time, but rather trying to learn the game, which we're all doing. And since when is there a "right" way to play Mabinogi? You say you know every single thing there is to play the game right, I highly doubt it.

Point being, everyone is new at some point, shut the fuck up and respect that.
