Just wondering if there's any point in maining archery

  Human: 3 major reforges and mag optional.
  Elf: 3 major reforges and mag required. Bohemian nigh forced without combo card, and double reforge on gloves.
  Even with that, You not only need that, you need the most expensive weapons in the game.
  Fhalafel combo: varies, In mari right now, its 10/30~40m for eye/heart.
  CRX: I made mine at effective 21m. A finished good crx is 25m+ clean generally.
  HLB: Works because of its reforge, but you Have to reforge it for ele for anything.
  Salvation: Could work, but you STILL have to r1 it in comparison to a 1~2m pre-r1 HLB.
  
  As opposed to:
  Demonic Lance: 50~100k+sec/pen=8 pierce. Sec/67ths or Cartel/Pen, whichever is better idr, results in ~10m from the +3 pierce enchant, results in max pierce with a whole lotta extra damage.
  DDKs: 1m/ea? 48/56ths are 4~5m/ea now. So about 10~12m. Do note that they Don't need reforge to be effective.
  Pilgrims: Good luck/selling/buying.. Probably would cost 1.5m for perfect damage good dura.
  Guns: 500~700k for 90%+ guns. This has been the case for over a year or two.
  Sin Staff 10+ matk: 4~5m. Druid 11+ matk: 10~12m.
  Knuckles: [laughter heard in the distance]
  Anju's: 300k/free + Price of Girg + Price of untamed(about 200k/100k on mari)
  Savage:Cheep Cheep; Tribolt: 4~6m for a high matk/dura. Max 8m iirc.
  
  And for melee/gunner/magic/ninja you need, and I am not kidding here, 1~2/2/0/0 reforges, disincluding weapon(shuri's can get kunai storm range, resulting in that)
  Nearly EVERY single other talent, discounting fighter because fighter is laughable right now, only really used for upper/sometimes somersault, is a magnitude cheaper on average. Its beyond retarded. Even a pair of CRKS costs 12m/ea to make on mari. This equals the CRX, but is about half of the Bhafel Combo. Even with 48/56s you're spending less. And you have spare cash to get reforges for ele/max damage, So you end up with nigh endgame swords, or an unenchanted/unreforged Bhafel set.
  
  Ranged is excellent. But the reason everybody goes against it isn't because its bad, and anybody saying its horrid due to connection doesn't include that gunner is absolute trash on a bad connection, and ranged CAN beat it out. You can't do jack with wotg on 200~300+ ping. You can at least drop the hammer with a reforged crash shot. Ranged isn't done as much because its so damned expensive to actually do, and then you have handicraft, tailoring, and a few other pure dex life skills to do for high amounts of dex as well. Its a gold sink the size of the Mariana Trench. Its an excellent skillset with damage but the gold input hardly matches its output.

  Also worth noting that KR players usually have much more favorable views, well... because of the resource they're willing to put in as well as the available connection.

  Range might outdps gunner but the thing is gunner doesn't miss.... like 3-5x in a row after 1-2 secs of aiming if you have bad ping. Also, in party play aside from alban or anything with a significant amount of hp & def+prot, most stuff is dead before you can even fire an arrow. You don't know how many times I've loaded CS only to either have my primary target die or just have it miss all together and wait for another 5.5 sec cd. I do admit that range is a fun skillset (sometimes) despite the frustrations, with melee a close second (not so much the fh skill itself, bash and wm are pretty fun tho). But in terms of all around efficiency, it's definitely low on the list due to its execution time, regardless of the amount of reforges put into it or the damage you rack up since the issue is often being able to hit... at all.
