The more pointless (or overly time consuming ) most combat content gets, the more I enjoy just grinding all the life skills I've ignored for the past 7 years, and these cute fairies provide the perfect incentive, not to mention fantastic bonuses! Also, I don't feel like I have to log in every day to collect as many as possible. I can go at my own pace and train most of the skills I want to train.

I have every skill at rank 1 the fairy bonus applies to...
But I do it anyway, for the sake of the homestead props which gives you stats.

you know that they don't stack with the ones we got from the 7th anniversary event right?

^But highest bonus applies, and there are two fairies that have higher bonuses than the 7th anniversary ones.
So you get +1 str and +1 luck even if you already have all 7th anniversary figures.

I thought it was fun as well. But then, around rank 9 most of life skills turn from fun and reasonable to train into "the gods hate you and want you to know it." Except Blacksmithing - this one is bullshit from the very beginning.

It has certainly helped a lot. I'm working on Handicraft right now and it is just painful. The event lessens the pain. xD
Carpentry is done now at least! Only blacksmithing to go after this :worry:

So... in 5 hours' time, I just went from rank B Blacksmithing to rank 1. I didn't even have a plan for it. I decided I'd prep for it three days ago, pooled together all my holy waters and arat crystals (to replicate ingots) and more or less just spammed SCC during those days for the fine leathers I'd need. I pretty much had everything else in one way or another from r1ing other life skills. I now have a week's time to decide whether I'll take Tailoring from r5 to r1.

I really have been ignoring life skills until fairly recently. I just realized I'm gonna need to R5 weaving to get the last two ranks of carpentry. Thankfully, I have plenty of time to do so.

You definitely should. Tailoring is much easier, I think at r3 or 2 you can just make 1000 headbands or something. It's silly with this event.
