First, a little background. I recently found out a friend of mine really likes mabinogi but is unfortunately on a different server. Looking at our characters he is much farther in so I will be making a new character to play on his server. I haven't played in about 2 years but I still remember a lot about the game.
So my question is, how do I become as strong as possible as fast as possible to catch up to him, preferably with minimal item begging?

Spend tons of NX on gachapons to get rare equipment to sell for gold and use that gold to buy overpowered equipment.

Do the Generations / storylines, daily stuff, and if you get any strong friends ask to run Elite missions / shadow Missions with them, as Elite missions can be run by anyone.
And since you can rebirth weekly, make sure you do that too. :P

What this guy said, plus put all your ap into one skill set, Warrior is actually pretty strong thanks too the update so feel free to just focus on that if you really want too.

Pretty much. Don't go for hybrid style (where you rank different skills from different skill sets) you should first focus on 1 skillset that you want to main. After that, branch out.
