  Or they are simply too much of a fanboy/fangirl to give it up because they think it's "unique". There's a lot of people I see who still hold on dearly to Mabinogi and I wouldn't call a game that's still getting updates "dead".
  
  That being said, this site could use to broaden it's horizons as lately I have been more interested in games that aren't Mabinogi. At least until G20 hits.
  
  That being said, I also can't let Mabinogi go and constantly am checking up on events and updates. I've put in over 7 years of work into this game at this point. I can't just let it go that easily even if I haven't been actively playing in a long time.

  Unfortunately for mabi, "Unique" doesn't mean "Good", a competent company can easily make an mmo with a "class free" system and pave it out to be balanced, sure, it'll be hard, but the player base would eat it up.
  
  
  There's other games with hard working developers that deserves our cash more then Nexon.

  Like Runescape? The game that allows you to be a Mage, Ranged, or Melee without sacrificing anything but balances it out via a combat triangle system and makes all 3 styles equally effective? You're right, Jagex does deserve my money more than Nexon.

  Depends on who you talk to. They do constantly ask their players for feedback and listen to those suggestions. Do they make mistakes? Yes, all companies make mistakes. Nobody is going to make a perfect game. It's impossible.
  
  At least Jagex fucking tries, which is more than I can say for most game companies, especially Nexon. On top of that, Jagex has made several versions of Runescape over the year to try and cater to all sorts of different player types. Their quests try to appeal to the lorehounds, while boss content appeals to the more hardcore people that won't like other types of content and say it's the worst. Then there's the try hards who isolate themselves in ironmode and if you like PvP there is always Darkscape.
  
  I mean really, what more can you bloody expect out of a company that tries to do so much for it's players? Maybe I'm the only one who can see that they are trying their hardest to stick to their vision, while incorporating player suggestions and trying their best to balance things.

  techincally runescape use similar mechanism but just hide them well with Lore, Atmosphere and Game Mechanism
  
  The quest are usually a mix of these:
  Go explore X area
  Bring X items
  Kill X ennemy/boss
  Solve X Puzzle
  Talk to X NPC
