So I've been on Mabi for years on end, though for a while now, I haven't been as knowledgeable with it. My main character is a human focused on melee, around 1.6k in cumulative level, with most of the core melee skills maxed out(So things like Smash, Windmill, Assault Slash, Combat Mastery, Sword Mastery, Final Hit, etc etc). I've been playing around with the new talents for a while, and while I will eventually decide on a secondary talent, my main focus has always been close combat.
I say I'm not that knowledgeable with the game right now because, aside from talents, I'm not too familiar with most of the later-game content. I've only completed up to G10 as far as the storyline goes. I'm not active much, and when I DO play, I'm usually just playing with old friends that are new to the game, and helping them with quests, doing shadow missions with them, and running dungeons with them(Even though I've heard dungeons are obsolete, but they seem to like running them, so meh). If I'm playing solo, I'm usually just ranking up my other talent skills and spamming shadow missions to level and get AP for them.
So aside from all that, I pretty much have no clue how to "get farther" in the game. I mean, I know Mabi is an open-ended game, so you can progress however you like. But I'd still like to know how other players operate as far as getting better gear, making money, taking on higher level content/areas/monster, participating in boss raids or really anything rewarding with guilds or friends.
In general, I'd just like some advice on where to start on all this. As a melee-focused human, what kind of armor and dual swords should I focus on? Right now all I'm using is NPC stock, like Battle Swords and the like.
Anyone mind telling me where I should go from here? Any responses are appreciated.

For the most part work on getting your strength up so you can do decent damage. Also they are a little expensive but Focused rainbow beam swords are my go to sword because the speed and high damage. If the cost is to much you can allways do daily for seals to buy them, although this takes alot of time. There are also much better sword options like Celtic royal knight swords, but they will take you quite some time to get. Also if you haven't already get bash to rank 1 it's so much better than smash imo.
TL;DR Get Strength, Focused Rainbow Beams, and rank bash.
Sorry if it's a bit confusing, it's 3am and I'm tired.

Open up your mind to other skill-sets, melee combat can be fun with variety of combinations, for instance, I often combine my combos with Chain-casting + firebolt as finisher to targets that's far.
[SPOILER="Wanna burst through the mid-level game content?"] If you have decided to max out your character skills and participate in tough game contents like Lord Missions or Very Hard Girgashiy Raid,
- Make up your mind, most likely, you are going to spend real bucks for gachapons and in-game trades for the following gear lists. Unless you are willing to spend a mass amount of time obtaining all of them.
- Start collecting -Combat Power (CP) gears, will be very useful for the rest of your skills training, especially since you had already built up your Strength stats.
- Participate/Host Girgashiy Raids, clear all the daily divine mission (best effort) and earn the divine exp to rank your subset skills in divine skills. even though you don't train them, will come handy later on. Current trend in my server is, as long as the player knows how to cooperate or has at least r9 in divine skills, the player is welcome to tag along and learn.
- Participate/Host Lord Missions/Alban Knight Training Ground Dungeon Raids to grab your chance to open some notable end-game enchants.
- I would aim for Attack-Speed Set (white dragon ones looks cooler), Smash Enhancement Set, Judgement Blade Enhancement Set (unsighted yet here) and Crocodile (suffix enchant) accessories. Look for items/enchants/totems with Max-Damage + Critical % boost for physical damage.
- Get a pair of Celtic Royal Knight Swords if you can afford them for ultimate melee combat weapon bonuses and reforge with elemental reforges, any clothes/armor (preferably one of the enhancement sets stated above) reforged with Final Hit Time Extend.
- Get an enchanted + reforged Demonic Gloomy Sunday as your personal overture buffer.
- Learn how others fight and observe the efficiency that brings the result . Question yourself what could have done at the time to make the process smoother/faster. You may find YouTube videos on how others clear dungeons and raids (fortunate enough, I am able to find one suitable for myself and subscribed :thumb:)

Above are my humble personal experience as game overachiever after 2 years of playing @ Taiwan Server, glad if it helps :skip:
