[S]I don't have the skill yet (been lazy) but I've heard from a few friends that the Fallen Fairy is the best to use with this skill. Not sure why though. Unfortunately, I don't have one of those so I was trying to find out what are some other good pets to use with the skill.[/S]
I forget the search function actually does things lol. Found a discussion of some pets in a thread, but I'm open to other opinions as well.

The skill grants bonus to the pets based on how much stats they have. This means pets with higher stats, whether if it's base stats, stat growth per level, etc, will gain more bonus from Divine Link. So what does this mean? Higher level pet will also mean higher defense/protection, and the pets with the higher HP/Str will benefit more from the skill because defensive stats scale well with HP, which is obvious.
So which pets are the strongest candidates? When you look at pets, things to consider are: utility, movement speed, summon time.
So why do people suggest Fallen Fairy? It has 350 base HP, has the best level growth stat (shared with Bone Dragon), and movement speed buff (yes, I know it also gives attack speed, but if you're a player that wants to be serious in FH or WOTG DPS, your attack speed should be capped anyway). So it matches with all of the mentioned above, and has a decent summon time of 120 minutes.
For me though, I think Tuan is actually the best. Do note though that I am a bit biased. It does lack base HP and STR growth compared to Fallen Fairy, but HP growth per level is the same, and I think that the music buff duration effect this pet gives is extremely valuable. If I weren't a broke-ass college student working part time jobs, I probably would have bought the pet and used it as my Divine Link pet. The major downside to this pet is that it has a short summon time of 90 minutes.
Another choice that I've seen a lot in foreign servers is scooter. And I'll say it right away: its stats are nothing glorious to look at. Its base isn't high, its stat per level is low, etc. But it does give you that major movement speed buff that is viewed as many as the only thing that is necessary, and also has a whopping summon time of 180 minutes. Personally I don't like this choice, but I do see reasoning behind this. My suggestion wouldn't really be this, since I do think you should be able to get the most stats for your pet.
The pet that I bothered to level up and use my Divine Link on (because I have neither the Fallen Fairy or Tuan) is Bone Dragon. Bone Dragon lacks in general utility since it's not very fast (but fast enough), but along with Fallen Fairy, it is one of the strongest pet you can get combat wise, which means the skill will give the biggest bonus to the pet. And that itself is good enough of a reason to cast Divine Link, along with good summoning time of 120 seconds.

Ahh, that would explain why they say Fallen Fairy.
Unless the movement speed boost is very significant with the scooter, I'll most likely pass with that since I already have Wave Sweeper + Fleet Feet going for me.
Despite the bone dragon being one of the strongest combat wise, how significant is the damage dealt by the pet itself? I guess in perspective of Alban and MA, is it worth leveling it to raise its damage?. If it's nothing too special, I'll probably go with Tuan since I like the idea of being able to have a buff last for a long time and it can serve as an aggro meat shield.

The whole point of the pets with Divine Link is to be meat shield, so the pets damage doesn't matter. Reason why base stat matters is because of the possible HP, and Fallen Fairy and Bone Dragon happen to have the highest.

Oh, ahh. That would make sense. Guess I'll just switch between Bone and Tuan and see what I use more. Thanks.

Fallen Fairy for stat buffs.

Scooter for tanking.
Fallen Fairy's speed buffs aren't much of a selling point, because they only last a few seconds after the summoning.

Dang, those are some op stats. A lot better than I thought it would end up. I guess I should just see how the stats will end up once I get the skill.
