So i am making a "giant" hero elite card and going into the Culinary Talent. Do you guys have any idea what i should start ranking up first?

with a giant, the warrior class comes to mind first. But if u dont feel the need to rush it id suggest that u try and get windmill out of the way first, dex from throwing attack doesnt hurt. Just try and get the cp requiring talents out of the way first so some of the warrior class (alchemy if u want it, magic too but it might be hard at the start due to the low int). Leave gunner, ninja, fighter till later on because all u need to rank them is spam/grinding which u can do anytime. If you do follow the warrior path first going with blacksmith as a side talent gives alot of str to help out(mainly from mining). Hope this helps

He means you'll be putting ap/effort into it just to gain stats from it, namely STR.
But yeah, Giants are pretty straight forward. Max out Close Combat starting with Windmill, of course. Then you move on to other talents, probably Fighter so you can have a second skillset early on.
Unless you want a Magic focused Giant, in which case I know fuck all about it. o.o
Also you can abuse the rebirth system until lv1000 by maxing out ap (don't rebirth daily, but on days the Arc Lich appears so you can get a ton of exploration levels instead of just the ap from regular leveling). You can also max out different talents, get the AP from them, then go to Duncan to reset your skills. This is really time consuming, but worth a shot if you are into maximizing ap gain. :)

Magic isn't really hard to rank on a Giant. If anything, it's easier due to some training requirements simplified, compared to human/elf ones. The difference in INT capability is miniscule and your only disadvantage is increased mana consumption, which doesn't matter much with SE potions being handed out like candy.
Instead of skills, the difference between Giants and humans comes down mostly to the gear. Get Vales Shield and some heavy armour.

As everyone said, you level up close combat talent to master first. In that, you'll want to max out windmill, combat mastery, then a weapon mastery of your choice (lance/sword/blunt). If you're dual wielding, then max out dual wield mastery right after. Then you'll max out smash and assault slash, and then move ontop stomp til master, use that title at least until you get blood master. The whole point of this is to focus power on your windmill first for faster leveling.
At this point, I would personally recommend lances, because the pierce is very handy and tremendously helps windmill. If you were to go that road, then you master the lancer talent. If you don't want to use a lance, then I recommend getting a fanatic and moving ahead with maxing out bash soon after. Keep in mind you'll need to master lancer talent anyways if you're serious about playing a giant, regardless of what weapon you're using.
Either case, the next step is to get r5 singing, r1 lullaby and overture. The ability to buff yourself at any given moment with a whopping ~25% (depending on your skills) to your power AND to put everything to sleep for a while is an enormously huge power spike that makes every single str gain that much more effective.
From there out, it's your choice how you want to proceed, but keep in mind that the goal is always more str for more power and faster leveling speeds. You could max out carpentry and mining, or get r1 catering and cooking to make your own caters, or ninja for more strength and access to a ranged option, or bard talent for longer and stronger buffs. You'll want to eventually get around to all of those options anyways, it's only a matter of which you cross off your checklist first.
In summary:
Windmill>skills to make WM stronger in general>Smash/Slash/Bash>Bard buffs>whatever you want.
