Mabinogi finally being shut down?

  Mabinogi (and vindictus) is shutting down for Peria Chronicle. Think about the similarities. Two life based games, anime graphics (one new and attractive one old and off puttin) now as yourself as business people. Why keep the old alive. With a small community. Why not just move it all to peria and start over.
  
  If anyone stilll plays thoughts on this game. There is a lot of references of mabi like resting animations, reused monsters with a new paint job and ect. While vindies comba favors the peria sword demo / lyns dance emote. Soooooo... begging of the end for your games. Before anyone say they Johnny keep all 3. Think of mabinogi getting auditionscontent then scrapping that game

  Dunno about that, people are trying to make pservers of mabinogi, closing the official servers is equal to giving green light for people to do (due US law that allows Pservers to be made as a memento) so and given that there's a collab going on the JP server it'll be unlikely that Mabi is done at least for now also think about the differences, Peria is more akin to an MMO sandbox with RPG elements and SMT: Imagine, Mabi's first competitor on the "learn any skills you want and make custom builds" died last year.... no, FF IV doesn't count since the skill system there is akin to Dream of Mirror Online.
  
  Besides that, the fact that Peria Chronicles had to be made from the ground up after certain error would mean spending years getting it back to the previous amount of progress, they need founds for that and both maplestorys won't be able to hold them, saying that Mabi is gonna close also means implying that Mabi mobile is also closing down which... not gonna happen unless it turns into a massive money leak
  
  Dunno about Vindictus, seems that Kritika EN turned into a fiasco and Onigiri a losely similar ARPG is still going but there's still Closers around and possibly Soul Workers in the possibly near future, not to say PSO2 on the nintendo switch so... yeah.

  Vindictus didnt shut down when Dragon Nest appeared, same thing for Combat Arms for Dirty Bomb and the GitS game

  Well we did murder Mabinogi EU in a hurry. But that was because Nexon stupidly released an outdated client version at a time when hackers were on a rampage and the old versions were easy targets.

  Thingsoft has revealed that Peria Chronicles will release late 2017 or early 2018. The mabinogi majority will be consumed by Peria. Mabinogi and Vindictus Mobile is just for remaining loyalist

  Peria Chronicles has a sort of fantasy life sandbox aspect to it, but its combat plays nothing at all like Mabinogi's. I don't know if we ever even see Peria Chronicles released in the west either, but I doubt it will kill Mabinogi in KR.

  Can someone close this thread, i feel that this leaves open the posibility of more baiting.
  
  On a side note, i think i'm not the only one that have seen online games that due circumnstances should've been done ages ago (wether they are good or bad is anyone's opinion) yet they still survive, so your words about mabinogi is/will be dead in "current year" means nothing to me who had to deal with that for over a decade about another game.
