US Teens Kill 81-year old man to impress girls

  Three teenage boys have been arrested in the US after an 81-year-old man was bashed to death as he left the wedding of his granddaughter.
  
  Widower George Baker III was punched, kicked and stomped to death as he walked from his granddaughter's wedding ceremony to a restaurant he was going to for dinner, TV station KPHO reported.
  
  Police records say the 16-year-old boy charged with the murder of Mr Baker was trying to impress a group of girls when he allegedly attacked him on Sunday night.
  
  The teen had reportedly told the girls that he would attack "the first person he saw".
  
  Another 16-year-old and a 13-year-old have also been arrested on suspicion of murder.
  
  Baker had travelled across the country from his home in Arizona to Virginia to see his granddaughter get married.
  
  Lynchburg police captain Todd Swisher said there was no motive for the crime.
  
  "This should have been a joyful occasion but it has been marred by this tragedy," he said.
  
  Baker suffered from broken ribs and severe head injuries in the attack.
  
  He died in hospital early Monday morning.
  
  The two 16-year-olds arrested for the attack will be tried as adults but will not face the death penalty, police say.
