I'm about to help someone on their G3 Final and was wondering if the paper airplane trick worked on Cromm's Dragon Fireballs since they're supposedly different from normal Fireballs or something. I still plan on setting up campfires but I'd like to have a backup in case we run out of firewood. If anyone can confirm, thanks.

Yes it works I was doing it during the Project RM event when I was helping people on their finals.

I'm not sure if paper planes work on Cromm but Barrier Spikes will absorb the fireball.

Turns out Paper Airplane has invincibility frames at a certain point into the action. You have to time it correctly or else you'll still get hit by the fireball.

Thanks again. Just wanted to make sure. I didn't know you could avoid field boss charges with it though, I'll have to try that. XD

You have to remember that this WORKS for EVERYTHING so long you time the frame of the damage with the invincibility frames of Throw Paper Airplane.
This includes THUNDER and ICE SPEAR, Windmill, AOE Magnum or Smash, well, pretty much almost all of the AOE D/T skills that you can block and activate that gesture in time.
It's like the Monster Hunter's LEAP OF FAITH, where you can just dodge everything, including death, with it.

Barrier Spikes will reflect Fireball. It does not necessarily protect you.
Rank 1 instant KO-es the boss.
That's how godly this skill is.

Are you freakin' serious? Then how is it none of my Spikes ever protect me when I get blasted? <_<

I forgot to put that I'm refering to the G3 fireball by that dragon...
Other types of fireballs aren't affected.

I tried planting walls in the Baol boss room, and they were totally useless.

It's weird, did they patch it?
Also, only walls above R9 can reflect damage.
When I was doing G3 final sometimes in G11S1 or so, we assumed that Cromm just died from the fireball reflection because 2 of us were dead and the other alive player didn't do anything when the cutscene rolled. I put up at least 2 walls back then.

Either my walls don't work, or I have the Piplup curse. (If you watched the PKMN anime, if anyone even cares, you'd know what I mean.)
