  BW look like crap. The graphics are a joke. THERE HAVE BEEN GAMES WITH PURE 3D GRAPHICS SINCE THE DS CAME OUT, COME ON PEOPLE. Plus have you noticed how pokemon don't follow you anymore? That was one of my favorite features of HGSS!

  A LONG TIME BEFORE THE DS! Basically in Pokemon this is like "HOLY $&$#(^$(%" because mostly every Pokemon game has been more or less the same thing. Similar overworld, similar graphics, identical battle system, etc. At least this mixes things up a bit.

  I liked the game though. (I got HG.) It lived up to the expectations set by the original GSC as well as it could hope to do.

  Well I mean that I don't see why they downgraded the battle frontier between emerald and platinum. The new facilities aren't particularly bad, but why did they go from 7 facilities to 5! ._.
  
  I hated the 4th gen graphics and I'm probably going to hate the 5th gen graphics. I seriously would like them better if they were completely 2d, but I'd like it even better if they were completely 3d. I was just saying that there have been 3d graphics on the DS for a while to say that it's possible to do on the DS, let alone the DSi XL. What I'd really like is something with Pokemon Stadium-like graphics. It might be a bit of a stretch, but they were able to remake Super Mario 64 for the DS with even better graphics than the original, so it might be possible...? The battle graphics in B/W do look good, though.

  Other then that, I wish they'd have given us an option of weather we want a pokemon to follow us or not. While it's very awesome to have cute pokemon like Pikachu or whatever following you, I don't really want a huge ass Steelix following me around... It just makes it that much more annoying when I have to go switch my leads in and out of the first slot because I don't want that certain pokemon following me.
  
  Otherwise, the revamp with 3D graphics took away some of the nostalgia factor somewhat. FR/LG were very reminiscent of the original, yet, HG/SS were a bit more off. Though, that's not to say, I don't think it's a good thing. The new Cerulean city looks awesome, for example, and the fact that old areas were added in was a nice touch. (btw, what's wrong with 2D graphics? a game doesn't need epic graphics to be fun or well made. Look at Cavestory for example. Though, pokemon lacks a good story like Cavestory, the gameplay is addicting to some)
  
  The stupid little gimmicks in certain gyms shouldn't have made it past the brainstorming stage. I would have preferred the old layouts. Azalea town's moving spiders were not needed. At all.
  
  Little annoyances aside, the game is really fun. I just wish the English release would have the old game corner...
