If I'm posting in the wrong section, please move it.
Anyways, I need some opinions on what I should do...As some of you know, I've been playing TW mabinogi for a long time. On and off of course, since alot of NA players are way ahead of me in levels. Anyways, I've always been in the guild named "English" , since 2007 but now there is pretty much nobody in there left. Only a few leftovers from the old days have stayed back, but at the most only about 5 other players.
Now I'm at a twist. Should I leave the guild to join another guild with very few friends that will probably die out in a month or two, or should I stay in the English guild and still feel like a loner? I do want to hang out with my friends in the same guild, but at the same time, English provides me with something I can't get from the other guild. It used to be a really popular guild, not just to foreigners, but even to the native TW people. I remember a month or two ago, I went going on some boss runs, and randomly met a random giant who said they remembered English guild and was surprised there was any left. I just don't know if joining another guild would help me out or not.
So, I'm asking all of you for some help. Should I join my friends or stay in English? ><;;

This may just be me, but I think that playing with friends is the most important aspect of the game, so even if the English guild has some special memories for you and you're reluctant to leave it, I think you will be better off in the end with your friends in another guild. Even if that guild dies out in a month or two, you should find a new guild with a lot of nice people that you can befriend. I mean, the point of a guild is to hang out with people and make friends, right? =D

From my experiences with guilds, I think you should move over to the new guild. Even if it dies out, you at least have people who you can turn to.
Memories are good, but what you really need people around you or you will be isolated. You can keep memories forever, but not people.
If it is the bunch that I interacted with when I was back in TW months ago, these are good people. You won't really lose out if you join them.
This comes from someone who has shuffled through different guilds with different people and at least ended up in a decent small guild that also seems to die out, but at least we know each other alright instead of some bunch of random strangers.
I could go back with the people who helped me out in the beginning, but things change a lot in the game. It's inevitable. Bravely embrace the changes and it will serve you well.
To me, if the heart of the guild is gone, there's no point staying. You can always bring this heart to a new place that needs it more.

I would leave the guild after informing at least the guild leader of my decision, similar to how one would quit a job. It's professional.

Right, forgot to mention that the guild has been dead since 2008. Leader quit because of schooling, and nobody had GASH to transfer leader to, so she just left. She did try to trade it off for a good month or two though before leaving. Since then, we haven't gotten in contact with her. ; A ;

I was thinking...is it the recognition that the other guild lacks?
Otherwise I really don't see what is holding you back from joining the other guild, especially since English has been inactive for two years or so.
You should also convince everyone who is still active to move to the new place.
If it is the hope that any one of them will suddenly turn up in the game, I have a suggestion. Send each and every one of them a message to contact/add you if they ever come back to TW mabi.
As for me, it's unlikely for me to return since I have better connection to CN mabi now and I have extremely limited time for games, so I'm dedicated to my "home" server.
