The best things in life are free. Like good lungs, for example.

Eh. How much do these cost compared to normal cigarettes? More, obviously?
According to the site...
The kit itself is reusable and comes with 5 tubes and two rechargeable batteries. The starter pack comes with 25 cartridge and costs 60 dollars, so its a hefty starting price.
You need a cartridge for the flavoring and nicotine, which is 20 dollars for a 100. Each cartridge lasts about 6 times longer than a regular cigarette. The price isn't too different in the long run. In fact, its cheaper.

Nicotine is a mimic of Acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter that is used in motor functions. If you take too much nicotine, your muscles will all activate and stay on, making you unable to breathe and you will die of suffocation.
A normal cigarette normally doesn't transfer enough nicotine to kill you because it gets burned away, and a lot of the smoke is made up of things other than nicotine. These more controlled doses can potentially cause people to become totally paralyzed and die if they use the e-cig to smoke high concentration or large amounts, just like how children (who have lower tolerances) die when they break into mommy's purse and chew on the cigarettes or her nicotine gum.
Still, I think it's a better alternative, because the idea behind it is that you will use the e-cig to help you quit. It's much more easy to monitor exactly what's going into you with the e-cig, and it's mostly used to help people to stop smoking. There are other advantages, like not having to leave the room, and they just look kind of cool.
However, the absolute best alternative is to just not start in the first place.

Thank you.
I didn't know too much about nicotine, but you've turned that all around.
It's good to be well-informed.
For someone who wants to quit, this might be a good start. I just don't want anyone to start smoking and using this as the "alternative."
One should never start.

If you want to learn about second-hand smoking just watch the beginning of DTB episode 3 I think... He goes on a rant about second-hand smoking, then when he's through with them he smokes one himself XD
