So I'm a Thunder user for rafting. My current Thunder is r8. To fully maximize my MP usage and minimize time spent per run...

How much MP is the best for rafting? (Like if I have time before the MT closes, how much mana should I aim for?)

What enchants should I use to maximize my Max MP? (Supposing my damage is enough to 1hko gobbies)

What skills should I rank alongside Thunder to speed up my killing/raise MP? (My Critical is like rA, Magic Mastery rB)

The second stop is sooo close to the first stop (._.), any tips?

Chaincast Lightningbolt actually works pretty well, as far as mana efficiency. The only downside is half as much distance.

As for enchants...
Mana Reduction is a must have. Get that somehow, common way is Mana Magician.
Accessories: Sweet Pea
Hat: Solid(or Curing)/Wisp
Clothing: Wisp
Gloves: Wisp
Shoes: Mana
Shield: Solid/Wisp
Weapon: Formal

It's not possible to use all of the above and still have Mana Reduction, you have to sacrifice at least two: Hat (Leather Hat-->BBFH) and Shoes (?-->Magic School).
So the best possible Mana Set is +94MP. Unless you go for higher rank enchants like Mana Wizard (1-3 Mana Reduction, +20 MP) or Wizard (+40MP).

Craploads of herbs, threads, braids, tough strings, and iron ingots. You can easily make over 50k in one trip: farming is way too slow, merchanting is a hassle (and i don't like exploiting trades kthx), and shadow missions aren't too great unless you find a super rare item.

Generally 250-300ish at your rank.

Will o' Wisp is always an easy +MP enchant. rB suffix enchant, any equipment. Gives +10 MP if your Lightning Bolt rank is at or above rD.

Also consider wearing Mana Reduction equipment for -10% in MP cost, and use Mana Magician/Witch enchants when you need an extra point or so to get 10 Mana Reduction points.

Finally, try either Mana Reduction upgraded Lightning Wand if you want.

Definitely Critical. Always helps do +dmg, but make sure you have 30% Critical rate first while wielding a Thunder-enabled wand (since advanced magic ignores Protection for Critical Hit chance). Also, rank up skills that give you enough Int to have 100% Magical Balance. MP should be your last magic-related stat you should be worried about; you'd want to do as much controlled damage/controlled killings as possible in a "timed" mini-game like this.

Unless you can do enough damage, it's best if you don't worry about it and skip either first or second stop.

My advice is use MP potions. Sure, they might be expensive, but not if you make your own :thumb:
I use around 7-8 mana 100 potions PER RUN, so i don't need much. (P.S. i'm using an upgraded lightning wand for -16% MP consumption. If you want more, get the mana reduction set =P This will actually save you tons in the end)
The one thing I advise is that you go for...
1) the mana herbs. I generally get 20 mana herbs for each run, and I use around 1/3 of that (7-8) to make MP100s that i use on the next run. The others, i can sell for an easy profit of 14k. (which i don't, since i'm ranking potion making xD)
2) iron ingots. If you're really good, you can get a stack of 10 each stop. The only downside is that you won't have materials for mana potions. However, if you still have the extra mana herbs from Advice 1, you'll be just fine

Those two are the only things you should really aim for, since the other stuff isn't worth that much...

P.S. if you're using my method, try to do it on a Friday since the MP100 will go to MP150 :glare:

Depends on what you are trying to get. Thunder r1 can allow you to net 30 stars from 1st stop to 2nd stop. Monsters on Left, Monsters on Right, Monsters on Left and Goblin Warrior on Left Shore, then immediately row to the right to the 2nd stop.
