Okay, so i have a light armor that i want to enchant, but I'm stuck with what i should enchant it with. I was thinking for prefixes either glittering or expensive looking. For suffixes, i was thinking about pine tree.
So my question is, what should i enchant on it? I wanted more def/prot rather then damage, but is it better to obtain more damage rather then def/protection? And btw, I'm an elf, currently working to become more melee/magic based.
Thanks.
Edit: To add.. Glittering gives +1 def, +1 prot, +5 str; Expensive Looking gives +2 def, +5 str, +5 dex; and pine tree gives +5 max, +5 min, and +3 def. For those who don't know/don't feel like looking it up.

Hm, unless you have high ranked Defense skill I'd go for damage, especially since heavy armor is better for defense... are there any Heavy Armors that elves can wear?
But, I'd go with damage for that light armor.

Well, I'm currently wearing the Chinese Dragon Armor (the armor i want to enchant) and it has a 6/2 base stats and 5 upgrade slots. I'm going to be ranking defense next, and its currently at r6. I mean, since i want to go melee/mage, I'm thinking i need more defense/protection because of the fact that I don't get as much as humans through the skill. But I'm not sure, which is why I asked here.

my pro guildie who is an elf doesn't enchant for defense. i believe he wears darkness. just avoid being hit. since you're 1k + total level i think it would be a waste to enchant something so precious with an enchant geared for def, just my opinion. ESPECIALLY since that armor is rare-ish.

Thing is, I get a tendency to lag spike. For the most part my connection is good, but i cant go through any dungeon/shadow mission without getting hit. At adv/hard shadow missions, if I get hit, then I'm done for and have to start over if I was soloing. Especially since you guildie is probably a ranged elf like most elves are, its kinda easy to get through without getting hit. Even so, idk how many times I get pwned because I get lagged and I end up missing the shot and dying. That's just me though.

ahhhh i forgot you said you were melee. bah... well i'd still go for damage if i were you. you're gonna get def1 anyways right?? and 5/5 your armor?? plus it's 6/2 instead of 4/1. i guess just stay away from -def enchants and gear it toward damage o3o
that's just what i'd personally do if i had to be a melee elf.

Well, I'm going to try and get 5/5 on my armor. I asked in another thread if anyone knew of any 5th upgrade for the Chinese armor, cause it has light armor upgrades instead of heavy armor upgrades, and since light armor only has 4 known upgrades, I'm not sure if the Chinese armor has that 5th upgrade. But yeah, I kinda wanted to stay away from those -def enchants, since I have little defense to give up.

Get mana shield to cap and get around 300 INT. Survivabily problems solved. While elves can't get the attack speed increase from dragon armor, you eventually will be able to.
I wouldn't risk an expensive armor like chinese dragon armor trying to put darkness on it anyway, so try to get as much offense out of your armor as you can get your hands on. Glittering and Looks_Expensive are both bad choices... just go with Victorious/Pirate.

I like mint instead of heath, simply because, you won't have to overwrite principles to paste it.
I think Mint Pine Tree is a good defensive combo for elf armor.
but then you have to find mint. :x kinda tough
