I'll explain ^^. The "uproar" is about a new rival group in Idolm@ster 2 that (SHOCK!) happen to be guys instead of girls. If you watch that particular PV you may get misleading info that suggests those 4 girls aren't signing this year, but in fact they are (the guys are from the 5th PV, these 4 girls are dancing in the 2nd). So in other words, no story really.
