I should edit, but kind of don't want to, plus wanna bump up this thread. Worked a maelstrom on my +10 impending DW's, I have 13.3k attack now!

I guess I finally broke 33%. Soloing him still seems out of the picture though, maybe once Ep10 comes out and I make myself a better hammer.
(There weren't any Evies, hence my potion usage)

What happened to your Raider's armor?

I carry two sets. My Silent Quemielle set is my defence set and my Raider's is my attack set. I typically use my Def gear in Colru anyways, so I don't die if I have an off day. Though seeing a few Lv. 61-65s may have influenced my decision a bit, which ended up being a good thing. We had 4 people dead nearly the entire run.
That and I was using a Hammer. I typically go for my defence set with a Hammer since you get better DPS from 3k Def instead of 1k Att.

Just snagged a pair of dreamwalkers for 500k, sadly its only like 35 dura, so I'll have to do a few offers and restore them.

I failed to enhance my gallant dp raider's staff from +8 to +9 5 times in a row. I then proceeded to rage-hance my +10 rakum rakish and it became +11!

I just did my FIRST RUN OF The Evil One!
It was a fun battle, and I died only like once. I also came out 4th Place out of a full party! Oh my gosh, Lionotus is fun.

Grats~ Only having one death is outstanding for a Lann on their first Lionotus run. It's actually really good period.
Damage in Lionotus is kinda funny. The person who gets the last hit before the fall gets credited for the fall, and falls do a tremendous amount of damage. The other day when I was playing with Invertex, an Evie that didn't do jack shit except spam magic arrow while Lionotus was hanging got first with like 49% in our room of 6, despite us doing pretty much everything with luring/bombing. So, don't worry if you're having trouble getting a consistent 1st-3rd there because the calculation is just BS.
The other good news is that that's the hardest raid for most people. You'll probably find Colru easier.

Colru probably is harder at first to be honest.
The main problem is that Colru has 4 phases, and you'll need to learn how to deal with each of them. This combined with the pressure of not dying during the miniboss and his unblockables means he probably is about 4-5 times harder to learn. The other problem is that certain forms (Gray and Green come to mind) completely murder half the classes.
Lionotus is only really hard for most people since it's hard to grasp that cliff dropping and knockdown spamming are more important then DPS. Lionotus is actually nice in that you can usually fully heal on the ramps without too much risk. That means as long as you can tank a hit or two (mainly his two hit combo for Lanns), you can run to the ramp and heal up again.

I doubt most newer people can tank the tail combo of Lionotus. If you can survive being chased down by the tail and walked on, I can't imagine Colru will be much tougher. Maybe the trololo roll or those homing multiple jabs that occasionally stunlock if you're in a bad position/get unlucky. The black orbs are basically when the game goes into an autopilot and if you have a bad party and low defense, it can be a forced death.
Anyway, after seeing Lanns get thrown around and killed like 8 times in one game by the tail combo, even those with good gear, I'm inclined to believe Lionotus is still a good bit tougher. Colru might just take a game or two of basic learning. Then again, so will Lionotus.
And yeah, for Colru, he should stick to Gold imo. Every time I see a Fiona/defense stacked Lann try to go into Green, I rage inside. Even if you're able to take the hits, you won't be as helpful as you would elsewhere. You'll get hit more and do less damage when staff Evies (and eventually Kais?) are far more suitable for it.
