about skills and armors

  Hey guys, I have a few problems/questions need help here.
  
  I read some guides on the game and fiona, saids I can get certain skills after a previous skill has reached certain rank.
  for example, "How to get it: Finish the "Decisive Battle", and talk to Marrec with Rank D (or higher) Guard"
  
  but I didn't. was that only to the CB?
  
  another question. saids I dont have inventory space but I obviously do. my item is left to stink in the mailbox. is this a common bug?
  
  and I have a chieftlain shoulder armor that couldnt equip. nor did it said it's armor type (heavy?)
  If I learn the heavy armor skill will I then be able to equip?

  1-Odd about Heavy Stander, so you completed Decisive Battle (killed the Gnoll Chieftain) and Marrec doesn't give you the quest? Try doing it again just in case.
  
  2-Never heard of this bug.
  
  3- That's material, which can be seen by reading the "type" that shows at the top of the item description. It can be used to craft a certain armor.
