I just think this is horrible, how do you even enhance items? I bought some savage eyes for my alt character, wanted to mail them, and I CANT. Wth is this, seriously, is this stupid or what?

I find it absurd, but its really something that they will allow probably with NX.

We're dealing with Nexon. I have an image that is appropriate for this, but sadly NSFW.

Well it's good for preventing one really rich person from buying all the copper that is at 20k and pricing them all at 50k.

1. They don't only prevent auctioning the items, they prevent mailing as well.
2. They could've set a 3 day or a week time limit before the item is sold again.
3. They don't stack with ordinary items, so your storage gets clogged a lot easier.

I think things get enhanced just by selling them on marketplace...

This.

But really, Intex has a better point.
A time limit doesn't matter if someone can buy all of the product, and price it higher.

Then they mail them to an alt to be resold.

Changing hands doesn't necessarily reset the counter.
Although people can price it higher, the amount of risk involves in the investment is higher due to the time limit, as it may not necessarily pay itself off. They will not be able to monopolize the products as people can always go farm the items if they believe the price is unreasonable. Low prices would have to be charged in order for them to maximize revenue.

But this is an easy way to solve multiple problems, and prevent people from absolutely overpowering the market.
Its a smart, and simple way to control a market.
Items are determined by whomever sells them, and has to deal with competition.
Each person strives for their own item sold, and buyers don't have to worry about terribly overpriced goods, which they are probably going to use til the item dies. Though, buying things for another person would be a pain, but you can always give them the money.
And Crafting really is better than buying the equips right from the market. (If you're buying materials, you should have a plan to use them soon, and only buy what you need.) If you craft, you get a random color, but you get perfect deterioration every time.
I've used at least 2 shields, one at 300+ Det. and one to 600+ Det. They both sold quickly, without the person even knowing.

At this point in time, buying pieces of equipment directly tends to be cheaper than buying the materials due to insane overpricing.
And then, by the time you're done using that piece of equipment, you're forced to either destroy it, or sell it to a NPC.
