The trailer looks pretty nice. Too bad it's still going to be 2 parts and I'll probably have forgotten all of the 1st Part when I watch the 2nd.

I saw the trailers a while ago. Can't wait!
They're releasing the movies around the same time as the Twilight series, right? .-.

Oh, they're releasing in two parts? Pretty happy about that.
Despite the fact I only watch the movies whenever ABC Family has that monthly harry potter marathon...

I'm such a Harry Potter nerd. Whenever the tickets go up I'm getting the ones for the very first show at midnight. XD

With the exception of the first two books, this is the only book in the series that doesn't need a two part movie. Sure, I haven't read the book since it came out, but from what I can remember, most of the book was filler. You got the action packed first couple of chapters, followed by the wedding scene which ends with Harry, Ron and Hermione running and hiding in the woods for half the book that has nothing but stereotypical teen drama in it, with Harry killing one of the Horcruxes with Griffindor's Sword. Then we get the part where they go into Gringotts to grab something (forget what), and lose said sword. Then after going to Godric's Hollow to see his family's graves, he gets in fight with Malfoy, heads to Hogwarts and suddenly destroys the rest of the Horcruxes. Then there's the part where we find out that Snape's a good guy, Dumbledore was a bad guy, Voldemort kills Harry, Harry becomes a Zombie (would say he pulled a Jesus, but that can be seen as offensive), Ron's mom goes ape**** insane and awesome, then we see Voldemort kill himself essentially.
Oh yea, did I mention the filler where Rowling was trying to push as hard as she can that Dumbledore was gay?
Yea, effects might be good, but really doesn't need to be split into two movies while the middle books of the series only had one movie each, even though they had a lot more going on in them.

Essentially, it's the "any means to an end" situation. He took care of and raised Harry (making him seem like that nice grandfather) to be a sheep to be slaughtered to put an end to Voldemort. While Dumbledore probably figured out that Harry ended up being turned into a Horcrux when Voldemort attacked him when he was a baby by accident, the fact that he really only could guess that if the stone that can bring back the dead would bring Harry back to life, the fact still remains that he wanted Harry dead, even against Snape's wishes to protect Harry.

Well, there was a lot more content from articles and books in the Harry Potter universe in the 7th book, so that might be one of the reasons. There are also a lot of fights, so they probably wanted to extend those scenes.
Wait.....Dumbledore was a bad guy?
The 7th book just says that he wasn't a saint, and that he was a very selfish person, not a bad guy.
