Easier less costly strategy is getting a Fiona to counter spam and have everyone else pump out damage while he's stunned or recoiling from his smashes.

Cept that's not very level appropriate.
The easy way really is to just get some high leveled person to help you out. Hooks are the normal approach though.
But I thought everyone already knew the hooks to the leg strategy.

Dodging and poking at Red XII is fine, but chain hooking makes everything go faster since you can go balls to the walls with your combos then!
(Though we are failures since we sometimes instinctively dodge)

You need to learn when to attack anyways, since if you don't, you're screwed when you get to bosses like Kobold Chief, Polar Bear, Blood Lord, etc
