A mystery over who dyed a cat bright pink has been solved after the pet's owner admitted she dyed the animal to match her own hair.
RSPCA officers suspected yobs had died the cat pink after it was found by a man in Swindon who thought it had been thrown over his garden fence.
But the animal has now been claimed by owner, 22-year-old Natasha Gregory, who revealed she dyed it herself using food colouring to match her own pink hair.
The mother-of-two said the idea of colouring the natrually white cat - called Oi! Kitty - with food dye came from a US TV show.
She told The Sun: "It's my favourite colour, I love it. I've dyed my hair pink and I adore pink clothes. Turning Oi! Kitty pink seemed like a good idea. I always wanted a pink animal - a bit like my hair.
"I read the instructions on the food colouring and there was nothing that would harm humans or animals. We eat the food the dye is used on, so I knew it wasn't toxic."
Miss Gregory has now contacted the RSPCA, who have been caring for Oi! Kitty, to ask them to return the animal. Officers have washed the cat since it was found, and its colour has faded slightly.
The man who found Oi! Kitty was initially told to "sleep it off" when he told his wife that a pink cat had flown into their garden after returning from the pub.
Penny Gillespie, a veterinary surgeon who is caring for Oi! Kitty at the RSPCA cattery, said Pink is dyed so brightly that she almost "glows in the dark".
She said: "I have about 600 cats a year passing through my cattery and have not seen such a brightly coloured cat in the nine years I have worked here."

Well generally in Mabi, people obsess over black and white, not pink.

Poor kitty. I don't like how the color relates to the cat's eyes though, not matching at all.

No, it's real life.
Do you see people dying their hair and their pets all over the place?

Funny cat, though people being obsessive with color is just the same as people being obsessive with your daily hobbies. Though I like how that guy reaction was to the pink cat. Sleep it off, no such thing as a pink cat.

At least it wasn't colored like a panda.

Well, people in Mabinogi are people who are obsessed with colors. Also if you have not met anyone who is obsessed with color/matching colors then you haven't seen anything yet. 65% of the girls in my school are color obsessed.
