This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. I've been taking a high school course in Java Programming, so I decided to make a program that calculates a time in Mabi to the current time in Mabi.

For example...
Holy water PTJ begins reporting at 6PM (18:00)

The program asks you when the event starts. Input 1800 (no colon).
Then the program asks you to input the current Erinn time (in your channel and server).

Finally, it outputs what time (in the real world) the job will open, and how many minutes that will be in.

Good if you want to find when the next part time job starts, or when you can trans again.

And btw. Nortron detects it as a virus, even though I don't know why. It's just a .jar file and a .cmd batch file builded inside an .exe file. Nortron = fail.

It's supposed to do that.

There is no alarm. It just calculates and outputs the time and the minutes until.
Maybe when I learn how to do it in Java, I will include an alarm. :)

I made it into an executable jar file. It's much more simplified now.

(If it downloads as MabiEvent.jar.zip, rename it to MabiEvent.jar. In other words, remove the .zip extension, then run it.)

Barebones structure in AHK

Cur := 0
Des := 2400
Msgbox % 0.015 * (Des - Cur) " minutes"

Wouldn't really take too long to convert it into 12 hour clock / etc
Now, only if someone would set up a dedicated web page that shows how long until the next ptj for lazy people like me :P
