Today, I used all my money on useless crap and now i have at most like 30k in bank.
The reason for that was because I had too much money and had diversion on goals. I have wayy too many choices: enchant, carpentry, synthesis, pot making, blacksmithing, and buying nx.
I literally couldn't even focus on a thing I was doing in mabi. I barely got lv 60 per rb.
Now that I am poor, I have low budget to do anything, thus making me think before I set a goal and let go on all other irrelevant goals.
So post your experiences of when you needed a fresh start to increase your efficiency.

Im always broke now. Im lucky to have 1mill on my bank.
The girl i liked complained about not being able to make money, she saw my HW buisness.
She Took my buisness by putting shop(s) up in Dunby ch1. She made money really fast in a few days, where i sold 2 stacks in that time in a shop.
Woman.

It's pretty useful to just take out your money on checks and put them on alt accounts. Then you're not really tempted to use it because you'd have to put it in the bank again and suffer transaction fees.. again. 8) That way you can have your cake and sort of eat it too? Anyway, I never really jumpstart my productivity. I just.. laze about forever. 8)

D; I find that when I'm poor, I stay poor because I'm too lazy to do stuff because I have no money to do stuff. ;;

I'm used to being poor, so I usually just grind a lot when I can. When I do get enough money to make some of a difference, I dump it all in the bank and then just leave it there :O...
Then I just use the money I get straight into my inv to do things, and just hunt the crap I want :D It's a decent system since I have the money in the bank to back me up when I need it, and I grind enough to get the money I need to support myself at that moment.

I'm not comfortable when my bank goes under twenty million gold.
Value of gold here is different from NA though, most rare items here are more expensive.
The one time it did was due to ancient darkness and so I sold a lot of HW to recoup losses.
I'm back at this safety level and I will only touch the money if I really needed it and it is necessary to achieve my in-game goals with it.
Such as to buy a raccoon cub enchant scroll at a time when I was sufficiently prepared for enchanting it.
I have almost everything that I need and want over here so I am not too worried about gold at this point.
For you, I think it's best to get a comfortable amount of gold before you start on a goal. I could not do some of my goals because of the fear of losing gold, such as synthesis, until I had a budget amount I was prepared to burn for this.
