I just need a basic pro's and cons (or summary) or the weapon's I am going to list below. I am just curious on which one is good or not (mainly as a spirit weapon; though this is not a primary concern.) Note, these are mainly for humans.
Two Handed Swords
Blunt (Warhammer or Mace) + Shield
Sword + Shield
Dual Wielding

2H: smashsmashsmashsmash
Blunt+Shield: MUAHAHAHHAA you only do 1 damage to meh! And with my 200+ dex I still pimpslap you like a boss!
Sword+Shield: Same as above but less damage output :c
Dual Wielding: wmwmwmwmwmwmSMASHwmwmwmwmwm

It's weird because that's probably more accurate than any other posts I'll get. Also damn, fast reply.
Enlighten me, however, with a blunt and a shield, I am going to need ALOT of Dex, right? I would go about acquiring such dexterity?

Well, you won't need as much dex if you get an ego Blunt, maybe only 200 or so. That isn't really worth it though since an ego would be better as a 2H or sword. But if you do use a regular blunt with upgrades, you're gonna need 270 dex and R1 CM iirc.
To get all that dex, raise up refine, production mastery, weaving, archery skills, playing instrument, etc. More dex after that gets more annoying :V

That sounds incredibly tedious and annoying. If an spirit weapon blunt isn't going to be as powerful as a 2 Handed Sword then it would be a waste of time just to do all of that. Blunt + Shield sounds better as a back up, now that I think about it.
I have another question, probably not my last though: In terms of damage, how does Duel Wielding match up to 2 Handed Swords? I know that 2 Handed Sword lacks as much as attacks per move than Dual Wielding, but is it stronger? Is Dual Wielding a lot more pricey as well?

You don't have to have a lot of dex if you use Mace, but you won't have much critical from weapon.
2 Handed Swords tends to be stronger in Smash, but dual wield is stronger in WM. (Usually) It really depends on the person's enchants/upgrades/sword types.
Weapon/Shield combo allows you to charge as a human/elf. Other setups doesn't allow you to.

Just an fyi, a fully raised bastard sword ego is comparable to a mace(although a mace may be closer to 200 max at all 50) but you retain dual-wieldability.

Smash-wise, 2H wins. WM-wise, it depends on how good of an ego you have/how good of a pair of swords you have.

Well, I obviously want critical in that case. I don't think all that work just to get decent dex for a Mace is worth it then.
So, then it's between a two handed sword, dual wielding, and a sword and a shield. Hmmm...

Two Handed Swords: Two-Handed swords sport excellent durability, high damage, improved smash damage (600%) and increased stun duration.
Best of class: Dragon Blade, Spirit DSKS
Blunt + Shield: Improved defense, improved stun duration, Charge
Best of class: Hatchet, Warhammer, Spirit Mace
Sword + Shield: Improved defense, improved stun duration, charge
Best of Class: Elsinore sword, spirit bastard sword, spirit muramasa, war sword
Dual Wielding: Significantly improved damage, effective Final Hit
Best of Class: Elsinore sword, spirit bastard sword, spirit muramasa, war sword
The DSKS adds around 240 max at all/40 compared to duel Elsinore/spirit bastard which add around 380 together.

Ooh, thanks for that Kaeporo! However, my only problem with that list is how I would go about obtaining most of those, such as the DSKS, Dragon Blade, and Muramasa.
Edit: The Dustin Silver Knight Sword doesn't seem too expensive. Getting around 100k doesn't seem that difficult. I guess I'll just need to find some weapons to use in the mean time though. Everything else looks impossible to get, the Elsinore Sword is only available in Generation 13.

@Kaeporo
Was it determined whether there is a limited amount of Elsinores per server? I haven't been paying attention to the G13 info.

How exactly does a Dragon Blade win best 2H weapon? Last I checked, DSKS and Claymore were neck and neck for being the best, I don't even consider DB for anything besides cheap repairs.

I haven't heard otherwise and gameabout doesn't have any information on the sword minus the base stats and an interview.
