I don't agree with homosexuality

  The TC's views on homosexuality reminds me of Freud's theory that fixation during the Phallic stage(Phallic is basically pre-puberty) will result in homosexuality. Not that their views are related but it's just the idea that there is some logic there but it is culturally and morally wrong to believe such things.

  The problem with debating about homosexuality is that people isolate themselves with their views. Homosexuals think that anyone who opposes homosexuality is a homophobic, but that is not true, there are people like me who are moderates, but oppose homosexuality.

  Like being against Liberals, jocks, anime fans.

  So I wondered to myself why there is a Gay-Straight Alliance club. At first I thought it was to make sure homosexuals have equal protection under the law and make sure they are tolerated.

  
  People celebrate who they are to feel better about themselves and give support to others.
  It's similar to how black people took pride in their heritage and race during the civil movement.
  They did it so that black people across the nation would not feel like scum, dirt, trash that should be gone.
  I doubt most (if not all) homosexuals are happy with how they came out when they realized it.
  They celebrate to feel better about it, they are not raising themselves above anyone but they are taking pride in their own differences.
  That's why it's also the Gay-Straight alliance.
  
  

  Once there are so many more homosexuals, there will be very few people actually reproducing (especially since there are abortions and financial problem with raising a child) and the human population will go down, thus producing less people with ideas that can improve humanity.

  
  1 Child =/= a chance for a new innovation.
  The children who are impoverished or dying of disease can't stand near a child in a developed country.
  Lower populations means we can focus our education and food to raise the best children who will all have amazing ideas.
  
  

  So my solution to that problem is making sure people don't care much about homosexuality (thus not harassed) and that the homosexuals treat their sexuality just like modding in mabinogi. They are free to do so, but they should do it without letting others know.

  
  If you're family is expecting you to marry a woman, but you want to live your life with a man, should you hide your whole life?
  What's the problem with knowing someone is homosexual?
  It clears up misunderstandings and people can find potential wife/husbands.

  I dont care if it decreases the population. There are too many ppl as is. Not enough jobs, and the starvation and such.

  Destruction of Humanity: We already evolved to the point that we have place checks and balances, and went through the cold war out of fear that we wouldn't destroy ourselves with nuclear weapons.   Your reason for not liking gays is I my opinion bizarre. You not homophobic, so the only thing I can guess is that it just a social norm changing, and change has never been greeted with open arms.

  First though, there are certain things we perceive as "Masculine" and "Feminine". And it's a social norm that a male should do masculine things and a female should do feminine things. And a second social norm follows that males who are masculine should have relations with females who are feminine. Even if a culture has different definitions of what is masculine and feminine, the previous statement rarely sees exception.
  
  But why should a female force herself to be feminine and do feminine things? Is it wrong for a female to be manly? What if you don't stand up for someone who is being bullied, should a female not do anything because confrontation is too masculine for her? Or should she do something to end things?
  
  Furthermore, what if there was a person who was neither feminine nor masculine? What if you fell in love with that person, without regard of their sex?
  
  As far as you know, your love is something to be cherished and beautified. But what if later that person revealed their sex to you and you found them to be of the same sex as yourself? Would that suddenly void the love the two of you shared? Are the experiences that made you happy suddenly wrong? Were they wrong before?

  I agree with you here (well...parts). Ideally nobody would care about straight/gay/whatever, just like nobody should care about race. I disagree that that they should do it without letting others know, unless you imposed the same restriction on everyone (which I'd like), but that's not an option. The problem is that 20 years ago the hate and prejudice was widespread, and only through the efforts of the LGBT community has the issue even been brought into the public spectrum. I kind of view it like affirmative action--ideally it wouldn't be necessary, but unfortunately we don't live in a society that open yet, so you deal with it.
  
  
  I also disagree with that you think it's a conscious choice. You equate it with "bdsm, maid, petite, etc" and I don't disagree with the comparison, actually, I just disagree that you seem to think those are weird and abnormal and "bad". You don't just wake up one day and decide "I like flat chests now". It develops (but I also believe that homosexuality--just as heterosexuality--develops as a consequence of primarily psychological factors).

  It's all based on stereotypes. Weddings are purely about male and females, same with couples. Just like how girls should be skinny, tall, and well endowed.

  It's culture that drew a fictitious line between the sexes and told them what was a proper way for them to act. It's the prejudice of people who are LONG dead. Why should we still carry that with us?
  
  Humanity is currently suffering from overpopulation in every "civilized" country. Only Africa and Antarctica show populations below their carrying capacity. What humanity needs right now is gay people. A lot of them.

  But I love plenty of women who are short and fat. They just so happen to be well endowed as well, but that's not why I love them. :lol:
  Also, love =/= sexual attraction. I love a lot of people, some from school, some from the nation. Some are females and some are males. Does that make me bisexual? Why can't I love everyone?

  Everyone has their preferences but still look at the majority of models and look at the magazines bashing celebs who are fat. The majority of society likes thin women, not larger ones. Same with muscular men with a 5 o'clock shadow.
  
  Love's a strong word..... I mean married couples who are together for a long time may lose the sexual desires they once had yet they still love each other.
