<-< I said parts turned black
those not so appealing parts can be made to look good + compliment your outfit
but I realize that's not exactly what we're talking about xD
something like the newbie wear for human females might look good black too, but I haven't seen anyone try it yet
but yeah sometimes black outfits compliment appearance (armor moreso cause 1 it's harder, and 2 it has that Black Knight feel to it o3o)

that red/white flashy makes me want to die.
the only flashies i really like to see are the giant rb-only red/purple flash, subtle white flashes, and subtle red-red flashes. the really really subtle red-purple flash is nice too, and doesn't bother me at all if it's on a main piece of clothing because of how subtle it is.

It will eventually lead to playing Fashionogi. Eventually, you'll have the gold just sitting in your bank, doing nothing, and there's nothing better to blow money on than clothing. While devCAT is constantly adding new skills for you to dump AP in, but eventually you will be maxing every skill. If you look back at previous generations, how many people got R1/capped of the newly released skills? So eventually, there's not much point to dungeoning but to make money, and make your total level number as high as you can, so either at that point, you'll be either becoming a socialite or dropping the game until new content comes out. And the first step to becoming a socialite in Mabinogi is by delving into the game known as Fashionogi. D:
I'm only total level 6xx. I'll never reach the AP cap. :T_T:
Spending money on pretty equipment has only slowed my progress down. None of this stuff lasts forever, so i'll be focusing on stats and not equipment. My current equipment will be killed to make room for a max damage set. My guild robe (which I have infinite supply of) will cover up all that ugliness.
There's plenty of things to keep me occupied. I still have to rebirth my Borzoi a couple of times and try for level 80+
If these "super-rare" equips offered unique stats, there would be room for discussion. The fact remains that an expensive robe won't save you any more than a brown robe picked up at Malcom's.

Then you Q.Q from no inv, bank, mail, and pet inv space. I am debating what to do with my currently unsellable flashys.

I don't mind Flashy dies. I think they stand out if they are something like the little details of equipment . I don't really care if it's the whole set, it doesn't bother me in a way to blacklist someone.
I just play the game, I don't really care about looks or anything.

Flashies are really tacky imo... They just make you seem like you have no sense of color :u I'd only use Red/Purple and Black/Purple flashies anyway because they actually look good, and they're the rarest iirc, and only for small things like the muffler and belt on my robe.

I can afford flashy dyes but I refuse to.
Why?
Sorry guys, but it's downright ugly. Only idiots with spare cash would actually bother to get flashy dyes.
That's fact. Clothing does not do flashy IRL. Nither do I want my clothes to flash ingame.

I'd rather not be flashing people.
Bad pun aside, I find it cheaper to just manually dye stuff, and dye amps don't give flashies. Normally I don't mind them too much though.

I don't use flashy either, but I did dye a few clothes flashy just for fun.
Even so, I rarely wear those.
My grace shawl dress came in white flashy (given as a gift) and I would have dyed it some other colour like blue but I'd rather keep it in white flashy, it looks nice.
Certain flashies are nice, like the blue/white and the slower flashies, the quick ones aren't that great.

I have a pink/yellow flashy for the flames on my lava cat... I got it for 100k because someone made a typo. I remember because that was my first day with service and I had just sold off most of my junk so I had about 200k in the form of a shop receipt thing (the most I've ever had at that point). I closed up my shop quickly and bought it before anyone else did.

I have a light black-dark black rapid flash on my elves Emerald dress. It's bad at all since it's pure black lol and it compliments the blue I have on it really well ^~^
That is the only flashy dye I will ever use though XD

Reminds me of when I found a stack of hp 300 potions in someones shop for 1k.
Also someone in our server won the fashion contest on sunday, he/she was wearing a flashy lava cat and now we have to see it every time we go through dunbarton.

Well, I think that the light blue/white flashy and pink/white flashy are really nice. The thing is that they don't contrast each other a lot, so it's not too hard on the eyes. Personally, I like wearing flashy robes because staring at one color all the time on something with barely any detail isn't very appealing. However, like everyone else, the subtle flashies are always better.
I just don't understand why people like seizure flashies. Giant + seizure yellow + fast black flashy = Oh god.
Also, it's very possible to play Mabinogi and Fashionogi at the same time. I do it and the only reason why I don't have things like avenger armor or the rich crocodile 2-h or something is because I don't like them due to various reasons.

I had a red flashy slender robe.
Everyone who was around at the time remembers it VERY WELL.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing that a few times. I also remember when everyone ran around in pure black normal robes or slender robes.
On topic : The only time I got a flashy dye (Orange and white) was off a rebirth for my elf. I sold it for iunno, probably around 300k.
