So today I was riding towards Dunby, and there were a couple players at the entrance dueling and having a lawlfest.
I asked what's going on, and they told me: Some guy used $5 worth of bombs in a duel, and still lost. I thought, well that's odd. Then the NX spender came running out of the healer's shop and started putting down the person who beat him, saying that he trans'd and used FH. The FHer said he only trans'd after he was deadly. Blahblahblah
So, they dueled again. This time the NX spender started spamming arrows or magic or something, and the FHer used FH at him and started owning him with FH. The NX spender was like, "SEE? pathetic." and promptly started spamming bombs.
The FHer still beat him.
At this point I was OTLing.
FHer: 2 | NX Spender: 0 | NX spent: over $7 worth?
At this point he stopped using bombs, and they dueled 3 more times. Each time the FHer finished the last half of his HP with FH.
The NX spender got his stronger friend, who started dueling the FHer. The FHer was losing by a little, but turned the tables with...you guessed it. FH.
Just thought I'd share this story. It was hilarious.
So what are your thoughts of using trans, bombs, and FH in a duel? Is it worth QQing over?

LOL! The lengths people go just to win a duel.

If no rules are set before the battle starts, anything goes.

It's cheap if those aren't part of the "rules".
But, why QQ over it? Just walk away and let the other person think they are the best ;v

Also, you might want to remove/edit that image, I've heard mods don't like names showing up~

Silly people. Why spend nx on duels? Just use poison, mana shield and transform. Use demigod and that ray of light or whatever as well.

off the top of my head, the only "fair" duels are ones that
are melee only, with the occasional bolt or 2 after last strike
and without any 222 broadswords/ and that other Gladius
(mostly cause I don't upgrade weapons for duels, and the only upgraded one i have is my Dustin, but I don't use Evasion either)

Usually you should set rules before duels (Mana Shield, Trans, FH, etc.) if you want it to be "fair". Basically the one who breaks it is the one who loses morally not literally, but trolls don't care about that. Nonetheless Mabinogi PvP is a big troll itself, you should always expect that when you PvP.
As a giant, I don't care if humans use FH on me because I have something that counters FH. I don't care about spamming anything, it was their/my fault for getting caught in the barrage of spamming, and most spamming not completely inescapable. We have Evasion, Charge, Magic Shields, Defense, PD. They may not hep against AR or Elf ranged but at least there's a 1% chance of them missing an arrow.

I have only dueled for the reason of experimenting :what:
I've had the same numbers for over a year; you'd have to understand the åŒäººèªŒ I've had to get what they mean
In my opinion; Once you enter the arena, turn PVP on, or accept a duel you should expect to kill or be killed
So don't go whining when you do die, and don't be a butt about winning.

That would only be fair to you since I'm assuming you don't have range.
Most people in my server use Range + Melee + Magic. With the obvious skills taken out. Those ones are fair because it takes some skill and timing to be able to duel like that.
Melee only duels are just who can defense the most and bluff. Mostly luck.
Thats my opinion.

Pft, the fun duelers are those that give you a chance to attack back.
I don't duel much, but my friend, he'll give an opponent an opening to "retaliate" if they miss or are too slow they punish by long chains of attack.

AR->LB->LB->Charge->Smash->LB->repeat is better than fh ;D

Set rules before each match, or don't cry about it. How many losses to FH did that guy suffer without realizing he could have just said no? x.e
