I've found that Arrow Revolver doesn't hit the bulkier mobs hard enough even with criticals to be efficient. With the advent of Crash Shot, the majority of ranged skills (with the exception of final magnum) have been outclassed.
Ask yourself this question, do melee characters strive for 130 critical? No. Why not? The answer is simple. They have an excellent AOE skill which ignores protection to determine the critical hit rate. Compare to Crash Shot.
Melee doesn't care about scoring critical hits when using normal attacks. I no longer care about scoring critical hits when spamming Arrow Revolver.
You're better off enchanting for maximum damage. It'll make you a better melee/range hybrid and your primary damage dealing skill (Crash Shot) will thank you for it.
Of course, Elves should still enchant for 90/130 critical because their magnum can potentially fire three times before ours loads.
I was thinking about this, and it seems that Crash Shot was a follow up to the 53-max Ringbow O_O
Though CS seems significantly less spammable than other range skills due to its abysmal load time.
I'd try capping it at 5, right now.

Yea that's what I was thinking and trying to say. I can see magnum for humans almost completely replaced and arrow revolver to be reserved for lone weak enemies or severely weakened ones.

So should elves like me ditch magnum? Or still rank it? Becuase mine is at rank 7... im ranking barrier spikes right now lol crash shot seems pretty godly... either way... ARCHERY FTW!

r5 is decent to leave your magnum if you'd like to move on.
You get your final load time reduction, a good damage bonus, and the advent of splash damage.

Apparently elf magnum is pretty hax, but human magnum is so crappy that CS mostly replaces it.

Crash Shot can be spammed very easily. Compare to windmill which has a 0.9 second load time and can't be loaded during it's animation. Crash Shot loads in two seconds, can be loaded during it's recovery animation and the splash doesn't cause agro.
It's not that Human magnum shot is awful. Despite the ****ing terrible load speed, it hits as hard as Elven magnum shot and loads faster than Human smash. It's still useful against single mobs and as an opener. While I wouldn't dedicate enchants in order to crit with magnum shot, it's worth (eventually) reaching rank 1. Rank 5 is a good stopping point, otherwise.
Elves can spam magnum shot three times a second with r1 final shot. That's worth enchanting for crit.

Well if nothing else, you get some nice Dex from it, so that makes it worth ranking regardless. Whether or not you'll actually use it is another story.
Oh and the splash from magnum shot does cause aggro. Sucks, I know :(
