I just brought some enhancing stones from the market thinking I could enhance my old set and then sell it for a nice profit but I forgot you can't trade things you brought from the market and now I feel like I just wasted 500k @_@
So you can't buy from the market and sell back, enhance and sell, and for all I know you probably can't enchant and sell either.
Well is there any sort of thing I could do to make millions and once I do can I use that to make even more? The best I can think of is to buy material to craft armor and craft it then sell it and use that money to buy more material but is that pretty much the only thing you can do besides farming drops yourself and selling those?

I don't see a point to it in this game. The point in this game is the storyline and dungeon raiding, whereas mabi has a whole life skill system and a massive economy. All you need here is money to buy your supplies and get your gear.

The only point to amassing gold is to be able to use EQ forever and/or dye it repeatedly.
Maybe buy some rare drops every now and then?

Example of gold use: Buying silver ore to craft your gear.
Prices be ridiculous, yo.

What? Buying Silver Ore? O___o
I had 20 or so of them after running Frost Stones 50 times for my Quiremigal Kicker title

There is NO point for gold in this game. I've had 100k since I started EAOB and never have need more. I got up to maybe 150k and blew 50 of that on random dying, and now I'm back up to 115k doing nothing but playing the game. The economy and market system is laughable in the game, things go for super high prices for a couple of hours and then rapidly deflate to worthless once more people access the area.
An example of this is that I put a white vampire robe up for probably 30k to be stupid and someone actually bought it...when it's one of the easiest (and fastest) missions to run until you have it. I guess one could buy crafting materials off the market, although I haven't seen any of them that I would call rare. The only items I've ever considered rare are the ice crystals from the Hollow and to a certain extent Copper ore, although you can just farm Frost Stones for that.

You didn't find Silver Ore hard to get...?
8+8+3 of them (19)?

Hunting and selling is the only way to make money. Merchanting doesn't really exist unless you buy through mail, which basically only happened in CB.
Silver ore and Copper ore are best items to hunt apparently, going for 50k/20k+ each.

I ran dungeons with that stupid white vampire in it about 8 times before I got my first white robe. You got lucky. I'd easily dish out 30k if I needed it.
That said, since you don't need money, it piles up, and 30k doesn't seem like much anyways.
Silver ores are probably the only items that gives me a headache every once in a while. They're rare, and you need a lot of them for equips.
Dye and upgrades are complete gold sinks. You'll need some gold to use it for sure.
On another note, I just recently spent about 800k amassing every set in the game for titles. Set story titles give you good stats yo.

In all seriousness, Vindictus isn't even a true mmo. The leveling up system, the AP, the gold, the hunting, the market... all it feels like is a stand alone console game in which you can "link up" to people to form parties. This is truly a casual game, not a hard more mmo game.
