I rather they fix the small things first before they come to bigger things like that.
You reminded me of the exploration system flaw. Exploration is a big flop in the sense that it requires soloing for the most efficient exploration exp gain. Would like to see more incentives to party for exploration as well.
Implementation of exploration party play and/or make an event sort of like an "Exploration Team" and increase exploration exp by a certain amount.

It would be nice if they somehow tied hobgoblin exp to being on a raft, sort of like how gaining stars is tied to being on a raft.

It would be nice if you got d/c'ed if you were on the river and not on the raft.
It would be nice if they just fixed the darn glitch instead of finding ways to nerf it.

I don't know, that sounds like way more than devCat is capable of.
Not getting my hopes up.
Everything is already made so devCAT would have a simple job at touching up everything

That's what I thought too.
However, I have this gut feeling that glitchers are likely to find values for being a raft and then cheat the system through that way, so it's not very wise for them to use this solution.

Well, there is no end solution if there is the assumption that glitchers will always get their way. It is like viruses vs companies that makes program to fight against viruses.

Hmm... Campfires should be made useful for exploration. :D
Or, you know, actually allow tent kits to be used anywhere in Iria besides Metus.
Iria being a place of exploration and field grinding, at least gives off the impression that it can be done.

They do get their way unless they fix it.
The trouble is that settings of these nature tends to be more exploitable. Look at One-charge Fireball/Fireball-through-wall - It was fixed a while back right? It eventually came back again. They are still existing over here, except that they are not as openly seen.
Exp rewards at rafting stations is not something you can exploit as easily.

The ridiculous part is that these glitchers can use it publicly and get away with it. Like "Ohai there yo, I'm CC+4'ing fireball while afk and shooting it about 400000 range across 5 mountains. 'sup?"
I'd have thought that GMs could just right click and ban them, instead of spending time on trying to prevent those kind of things.

banning is bad for bussiness, especialy when that kind of botters spend money on nx. it's better to fix the hole in programmation, also prevents more unseen abuses.

The more a game is updated and changed, the more the players have at their disposal to exploit glitches and loopholes. If you ever tried developing a game or write a story, you'll often forget errors in the game or story you were making even if you did checks.

More exploitable? Only because it is very popular, and there are more people working on modifications to take get an advantage. Mabinogi is still a program, and no program/computer is immune to modifications and/or hacks.
Even high security programs such as for banks/government intelligence aren't immune to modifications/hacking.
Well as for those glitches you mentioned, for here, it is completely fixed for now. This also applies to the 100% range mod as well. They recently fixed the trade abuse as well. There always more glitches to take advantage, but as long as they update, those glitches will hopefully close soon after they found out.
Mass ban is not the answer here. Fixing glitches is the only answer here.

Not fixed here means they have found out other ways to get around the glitch fix.
The reason why you think it is fixed over at that side is because the old ways did not work. If the glitch was fixed here and it still exists into G12S2 means there exists other ways around.
We got the same fix about the same time as NA and TW.
I am not saying that something should be 100% exploit-proof. My point is that some ways are more exploitable than others. Why introduce problems when you can forsee what's going to happen?
I can see how people can be able to change the raft values. I cannot see how someone can manage to swap mob exp anyway, but even in the event that it's possible, they should be able to fix it more easily than raft value swaps. (why? because it's going to be probable that raft values use something that is similar to Fireball glitches and those are not fixed yet.)

I think maybe they should reintroduce camping penalty, even for people who pay for service? Most people don't grind field monsters for exp anymore anyway. And even if you do, Iria field monsters worth grinding on are so far apart the camping penalty is negligible. If you were to sit at one area at the raft however, camping penalty would be difficult to avoid. :I

didnt know grinding field monsters was possible in the first place
dungeons is the most motivating way of leveling
shadow missions are essentially dungeons in the same sense but with an objective.
