Quote from Jando;189531:
You guys should stop complaining you're not paying anything for them to update/fix the game.
What do our buying pets/premium services/premium shop items/character cards go towards. Take a few minutes to think about that and then maybe you'll realize how stupid that statement is.
What I see from this is that NexonNA was troubled and stuck by these bugs, so instead of having this game offline for a week or so they made it live and let the people deal with them but still be able to play the working parts of the new update which nets them generally with more money, with the new pet, giant renewal and magician cards.
What I see from this is that NexonNA was troubled and stuck by these bugs, and instead of fixing them before they released the major update, went ahead and released it and pissed off a lot of people. The working parts aren't the parts people want. They want G12. They want to be able to do quests. Sure, the new pet and cards are nice, but it isn't the content people have been anticipating, now is it? No.
They opened Mabi to get money and they are probably now on a offline version of mabinogi trying to find a solution to these bugs which takes time, why? Cause programming is a bish. Its annoying. So be happy with what you get and wait till they fix it. Its not like your missing out.
Programming DOES take time. Programming IS a *****. They should have waited another week or two while they fixed what needed to be fixed. The Mabinogi community would have lived. And WE ARE MISSING OUT. Did you think while you were typing, sweetheart? My guess is no.
Nexon is a company, they want money, as all companies do. How can you get money when you're store is closed? Best to have your store running and having a broken door with some yellow tape around it then closing the whole store down and losing money.
I'd rather wait for what I want to be perfected than to get it earlier and it be ****ty. I'm pretty sure that applies for all the rest of us. If it doesn't for you, enjoy your crap product.
Side Note: Americans like to do things the hard way. That's how I see it down in Australia.
And this plays into your little rant how...?

I agree with Jando to some extent.
It obviously pisses off a lot of people when things go wrong after patches (and it obviously isn't the first time).
To be honest, though, I'd rather play the game with several problems rather than wait another failage maintenance that goes over 8 hours.
At least you get to play, right?
On a sidenote: Mabinogi is not life. You can wait a bit for these problems to be fixed.
Complaining and ranting is not going to change the fact that the game is quite screwed up at the moment. =/
Remember that the Mabinogi from Taiwan (or Korea, I can't remember) was once P2P?
I think that it's fortunate NA didn't demand a P2P.
They're well aware that they can make more money by making it a F2P and farming NX from products that gamers buy in-game.
But as gamers, there's a way to be well aware of this as well
(Hint: Don't spend a crackload of money towards Mabinogi..?)
And on a final note, I kindly ask that you be more considerate about NA Nexon.
Sure, they mess up more than we would've liked,
but seriously, just imagine yourself in the shoes of the Nexon staff.
Would you enjoy getting a little peeved because the programming has gone wrong, and caused several bugs,
while people on the forums are seething in anger and protest?
I wouldn't.
And I'm not trying to be some sort of "oh, look on the bright side" person.
I get mad at Nexon, too. It's like they've created a new definition of failage.
But sometimes these rant threads get old.

Not addressing that entire first part....
But...um...What is that last part there for?

Hi everyone. I just wanted to check in and let you know we are all still here and working with the Korean development team to fix the issues everyone is currently experiencing.
Again, thank you for your patience.
This is from Maeby, in Nexon forums..

Mabinogi is F2P because Nexon was the pioneer of free to play MMO's in America, they kinda want to keep up with that initial goal.

There are quite a few nice things they've done for NA (i.e. rebirth system)..
but this is a quadruple facepalm fail.

Do not diss my green and gray towers of text!
And I see. In that case... PROFITTTT.
If you're peeved with the Nexon fails, as Bieber maybe you should write a song about it

... I was thinking more like quintuple.
I think Vindictus is more important to Nexon at the moment,
so you have one screwed up Mabinogi and... well, I'm not so sure about Vindictus (kinda quit.)
But anyway, if there's time to complain, there's certainly time to find something else to do while Nexon staff fix several errors, I guess...
(eg. Play Vindictus, occupy yourself with something else on Mabi?)
I'm pretty sure Nexon is going to have the problems fixed overnight.
Missing out on a day of G12 is not going to murder anyone. (Besides, nobody can do G12 anyway.)

Vindictus has its own team, Mabi has its own team, etc.
And obviously nobody can do G12 when they want to--that's why they're upset.

Well, there's only one bad thing for me. Whenever I bring up Mabinogi and go to the login screen, I continue to get client.exe has encountered an error and needs to close crap. How is this bad for me? I can't do g12? Haven't started g11 yet. I want new skills? I can wait. No....The problem is that I have wine to take care of.......It's been 10 minutes since I was supposed to check on it. At this rate, it's going to go bad and then I'll have to start over x-x
