Well I was eager to get Crash Shot and once I got it I had to test it. What better then doing it in a orb room full of goblins

- Splash either occurs before or after knock back (depending on PD's)
- Splash range can be change by the knockback that Crash Shot gives.
- Explosion damage to the initial target only happens when more then 1 mob is caught in the splash
Anyone else find anything interesting about Crash Shot?

Splash Attack activates after aprox 1sec after the arrow hits the initial target.
The Initial target that recieves explosion dmg gets knock-backed toward the location you were standing when CS was shot.
The explosion will ALWAYS knock-back the initial target (with the exception of special monsters that cannot be knock-backed)

I never knew that explosion damage was separate to initial damage which means you have twice the chances of scoring a critical hit. Crash Shot when theres more then 1 monster = 51% crit rate.

Initial Damage:
Initial Target(100%)
Secondary Damage:
Initial Target(150% x (1-6 targets))
Splash Damage (minus initial target) 250%
The skill can be loaded during it's own and windmill's animation.
The splash damage doesn't cause agro.
Mega OP. Human Archers, start replacing your crit enchants with max damage.

The explosion dmg equation was changed.
Devcat nerfed CS because of its overpowered dmg, in KR servers atleast...

You mean it's already been changed or going to be changed for NA?

My chart matches the Japanese version of Crash Shot. It's unlikely that the skill was nerfed in KR but nowhere else.
I suppose we'll simply have to test it over here. When I get back to the United States I'll start experimenting with Crash Shot.

I experimented with my r1 CS
After shooting it 500 times the results show that the chart above is correct. ( sorry, my bad XP )
I did a little history searching and it seems that there was a nerf when CS first came out thus, fixed to the current dmg equation.
Before the nerf the Explosion dmg equation, from information I could gather, was (current rank's dmg %)x(1-6 targets).

What type of damage were you dealing?

In a run I did with Kyouharu last night, when he killed the last mob in the current spawn with the initial spot, there was enough time for the next group to spawn to get caught in the explosion. O_O;

Has anyone tested crash shot's aiming rate on an elf as compared to a human's? Elves do not seem to have any load time reduction or mobility advantages while using crash shot, so there doesn't seem to be anything to balance the skill against our fast-aiming human counterparts. Am I missing something, or are mounted archery, its usage during Final Shot and the slightly higher aim caps the only advantages of using the skill as an elf? If that's the case, this seems to confine its usage to short range archery, which can be pretty risky when you depend on a skill with such a hefty loading time... not to mention it would make rafting far less efficient than it would be for a human. Even support shot, which doesn't feature a load time reduction does let elves aim while walking or while running, if using a crossbow.

.-. Poor windmill... it now sounds like a suicider's move.
