2H, Glads, LLB. Giants usually have either Maces or 2H Blunt.
I personally use a Bastard Sword, usually break it out when there's no hope of me landing a critsmash =w=

what she said.
i myself have a mace, and i love it that not a lot of people use it.
im wondering why people would ego a bastard though, it has inferior stats to a gladius.

Max damage is greater.

But the critical for gladius makes up for that amount of max dmg.

I usually always see LLB's or 2handers.
Then a gladius' follows that.

People most often Windmill though. If you crit WM with a max bastard ego, you can get around 3k dmg nontrans.

If you're melee who like to spin around a lot, you don't need any more than 30% critical. To compensate, you can throw in a 222 Broad to balance it out.

Ego Battle Hammers are very common amongst giants, I have one myself. I've seen three ego'd Broad Axes as well but no Warrior Axes.
I rarely see any ego'd one-handed blunts for giants. Then again, you can't Full Swing with those.

On Alexina its LLB then Glads then...lots of things. some 2 handers but we have quite a few jap 2 handers and masa egos now. Some of our giants have dragon ego. Most have hammers though. I have a glad ego but the higher level I get the less I melee and the more I mage/alchemy mix (barrier, lifedrain and golem mostly). Does anyone know if having a ego Combat wand will greatly increase blaze damage enough to be worth it? Or would it only increase the melee.

Discussed this with a Giant friend..
Basically his reasoning is that trans is only 5-10 minutes per Mabinogi day. For those other 26-31 minutes, Ego mace + Warhammer > 2H Ego.
About the Bastard Sword.. that 11 damage gap is pretty significant when speaking in terms of critmills. Besides, what's the point of high critical when..
1) It's easy to get 30% for WM
2) HM monsters tend to have 50+ protection
