You're not going to go, "Oh god I suddenly became fat, time to work this all off- SPARTAAAAAA"
That's what I do when I exercise.
But anyway, have you guys ever heard of catabolic foods? They're foods that burn more calories than they give. I imagine that weight loss would be a lot easier with a diet of these things.

Those are not cheap. They're also not very feasible for someone with a 10-12 hour workday, especially if he/she has to wake up early in the morning to commute to work.

There are cheap catabolic foods too, like apples and blueberries.

Doesn't exercise give you a high feeling?
Wait what? This has never happened to me...even after 2 hours of exercising straight. It just makes me feel like I want to faint.
If it's a genetic problem, it's not their fault, but I do not like insanely fat people who are only fat because they're couch potatoes or all they do is eat junk food all day when they can get better food. I mean like dude, I'm sure what counts on the inside is what matters, but if you're obese by choice (choosing to eat McDonalds 5 times a week every week instead of something else healthier when you can afford it is a choice), that must say something bad about your insides. And I'm not just talking about cholesterol in your arteries. I also don't like people (coughalotofgirlsespeciallyasianscough) who starve themselves to be like 100 pounds when they're 5'5". I wasn't aware that having your bones showing was beautiful.
A lot of people seem to have this misconception that they can eat tons of junk food with no problems just because they're underweight or skinny. Being underweight or skinny does not equal healthy, and you can definitely get clogged arteries or too much sugar or something without getting all the fat.

Man, if people can get high on exercise, America would be quite healthy right now.
Wished I had that sensation, would make life easier.

I wouldn't call blueberries cheap. Apples also have a pretty high sugar content, which is pretty dangerous for obese people that are close to the diabetes level.

I've found that it's a lot easier to get the high from exercise if you run, but you might have to run 2+ miles relatively hard for runner's high to kick in.

These foods are good but you can't live on watermelon and oranges.
Fruits and vegetables aren't cheap either :X
Even vegetarians need grain and nuts(protein) to supplement their diet.
Fast food is cheap and won't fill you up until you eat a ton of calories.
McDonald fries are not filling at all (to me at least) but a medium size gives me about 380 calories of salt/fat.
There are lazy people but there are also people tied to jobs that end up snacking on Cheetos while working in their seats for hours on hours.

Index is right thou
Most doctors say do not strave yourself
Ive had to do with no choice due to schoolwork and then go on gym let me tell you its not a pretty feeling
Its more of an environment thing combined with genetics
Enviroment include factors like, cash, food type, avability etc
Genetics would include your personal features
There is no one type of obesity or cause its like alot of other aliments there are many ways to cause it

It's never been especially hard for me to lose weight o.o lost ten pounds during the summer with no exercise. Though I guess its just my genetics :/

I gain weight during college, and I'm trying to get better about losing it. I do get tired and I have other things I see as "more important" a lot of the time but really, if I have time to play Mabinogi, I should have time to work out. I just don't and it's my own fault. Still, I don't think I'd let myself get bigger than a certain size.
There are people that I have to wonder how they got so large, and then there are relatives of mine that I know how. Their parents forced them to eat these giant plates that they always cooked. They were kids and these were adult-sized plates, and they weren't allowed to even get off the chair until it was all finished. It's not always the person's fault but at a certain point I wonder, isn't there a realization that they've gotten way too big? Just looking at them makes me feel like I have trouble breathing. I don't even like carrying my own chest around. >_>

Well since it's a gradual change and the person really does notice it the whole way I don't think there's anything left to realize.
What these people need is self motivation to become healthier and lose the added weight, of course much easier said than done :|
