I need to stop eating junk food!
I'd work out more, but school is hell, man. Also another reason why people are obese is because they have no motivation!
A work-out buddy is always good! You guys can suffer together. :) And motivate the other.

I gain weight during college, and I'm trying to get better about losing it. I do get tired and I have other things I see as "more important" a lot of the time but really, if I have time to play Mabinogi, I should have time to work out. I just don't and it's my own fault. Still, I don't think I'd let myself get bigger than a certain size.
You could just be pregnant....

800 calorie diet here... I'm really forgetful.
But umm, you all say buying wholesome and healthy food... and it being more expensive than junk food... Really? Since when? I can buy a small box/package of sliced ham, slice bread, and cheese or whatever at a grocery store for about $4 or something. There, a filling sandwich for lunch for about 9-10 days. As opposed to $1 + drink + tax at a fast food's dollar menu or whatever.

First of all, where did you buy it, and second, how large are the sandwiches you're talking about? Not all grocery stores are equal or available in all locations, and neither are their prices.

Dierbergs. It's rather expensive in this area, but I shop there more often due to shorter lines and having more stuff to choose from compared to Schnucks. The sandwich I make are wonder bread slices with up to two slices of ham.
Can't say a real comparision since I don't go to any other grocery stores and I don't go into supermarkets to buy food. It doesn't help that Schnucks and Dierbergs are Misery-only, iirc.

It's funny how everyone says fast food is the cheapest because where I live, it sure isn't cheap. Pretty much every single fast food or pizza chain here is super expensive (most regular meals are $8+). Only McDonald's is still cheap, haha. But then...the chicken nuggets aren't really cheap either. o_o

Hurray for failing to stop being sedentary. (Is still working towards that goal)
While your genetics and economic status might be in play, they can still be overcome and weight can still be loss to a normal size, regardless. It's just, well... some of the most entertaining ways to live in America involves a lot of sitting down and still.

Ze only reason why obesity makes me uneasy is because of the health problems it brings, not simply because of the appearance. Oh that pic is goin' ta give m nightmares, poor children. If i ever had children i would never let them get that way.
Also some people don't like excersice simply because they get bored, like me. My mom always tells me to go run outside and i ask her to come with me, but then she's all like " No way! I am not goin' ta toast myself out there!" -_____-' Really ze only reason i dont do complete excersise is because i get bored and stop. I do walk alot though.
Also if people wanted to stop obesity, they should lower ze healthy food prices and make junk food expensive. I never understood why ya can't just do that and fix ze problem.

Because junk food is generally easier to make and ship than healthy food.

There's also the part where schoolwork and homework are spent sitting..If I'm doing homework, I'm sitting. If I'm playing, I'm sitting. Maybe if I think hard enough I'll burn some calories. 8D
