It's much stronger then I expected. I love the combos!!! Stabbing an enemy, throwing em over your head then slamming em down............ HOT! I only just got her today and I'm not going back to staff for a while ^~^

It's rather slow, but the range, the damage and the snap smashes are great.

Stun chance seems pretty high on scythes.

There's a lot of combinations with scythes, but I'm impressed that even normal attacks deal great damage. Even with the normal scythe, you could finish kobolds just using normal attacks. With the level 28 scythe, I am finishing Goblins in 4 normal attack, not even using a smash afterwards.

It's amazing. It's much better than I'd ever expected and I love it. I love the animations, the style, the speed, blink, everything.
I seem to have overlooked the Smash/physical part of the scythe though... I don't suspect INT/Magic Mastery will be as useful until Bloody Thread. LLLL+R does more damage than Mark of Death, or about the same it seems. I suspect Bloody Thread will be the main used thing once it's gotten, but people should probably focus on str/smash first since it's what they'll be using as their main source of damage until 40.
The weight seems a bit daunting having to max Light Armor Proficiency and Weight Endurance, but I'll get over it. I like Life Drain though, it's nice to have a free spammable heal.

I like the wisp. I don't know why everyone thinks it's a stand alone damage skill. It isn't. It's a support skill that is helpful in distracting enemies for a bit or just doing small bits of damage over time. But it's cool to have it flying and it's so easy to make.
Blink is just awesome, disappearing, reappearing... even through enemies...
At the moment, Magic Mastery, INT, M.ATK, and Magic Critical won't be any use until level 32... The smashes and normal attack depend on STR, Combat Mastery, Smash Mastery, and Critical Hit.
I do suggest if you do go scythe, to rank up Combat Mastery. It seems like a waste, but Combat Mastery is actually a very low ap cost for its rank, and scythes have such high normal damage rates, it will benefit a lot from combat mastery.

well supposedly people said we're using the scythe patch that switched all smashes over into int/magic damage, so not sure exactly if its really needed. However i'll get combat mastery to help with normal swings right after i get 1 more rank on blink and 3 more on death label so their max'd out =]

I just love spamming the LL+R because of its great speed and range. Scythes made Evie much more enjoyable. I was tired of sitting around, and poking with magic arrows.

It seems to me that both smashes and releases do relatively high damage...
I'm not even going to pretend to understand any of that.

devCAT seems to have forgotten how to balance things.
Oh wait....

Bottom line is, Evie uses matk in pretty much all the smashes so pump int when you can, not str (though both help). Also don't ignore magic mastery, that helps more than str. But that doesn't mean you leave combat or smash mastery, they work for the magic attacks too (Not the finishers death label or bloody thread).
It's... actually really interesting. Basically, your attack/matk is subtracted by the enemy's defense and it is decreased by a percentage (Basically different attacks do different amounts of damage). So it could be the first scythe slash, that'd be 3.2% of the attack (that does about 200ish dmg I think at lvl 20+) The final scythe smash does 24% damage (20% is magic, 4% is physical)
This is very like the Monster Hunter series though that has a more complex formula. If you look carefully, you'll notice the smashes have both phys and mag parts, meaning scythe evie is still heavily reliant on matk. (Guess I'll be pumping int ._.;)
That website also has fiona's percents if you're interested. Looking through these can give you an idea of the most efficient way to kill stuff.
Vindictus Forums | View topic - Fiona Longsword & Longhammer damage percentile Now if only someone finds out how stunning works, I highly doubt it's probability ._. It seems more like there is a stun damage or something.

It's quite nice when you've maxed every combat skill related to scythe :P

Wish I were disciplined enough to do that. I scatter my AP everywhere, in a noobish state of bliss most of the time, so I will be lacking the good power for a while, but all in all, I am pretty happy with the Scythe Evie so far :)
