So, I was looking over at the Diablo III for Consoles thread and some other thread about "We need Mana Drain".
So I was wondering, if some of the monster we fought had, Mana Burn.
Mana Burn: Within radius, depletes the player's mana at a variable second.
Just a thought.

Monsters seem to have infinite MP though, don't see how it'd work.

Yeah, just to make it a bit more challenging.
From what I've heard with G11 and G12 bosses, they were "Fairly Easy".

oh I though this was a suggestion for player skills, if it's monster only I'm all for it.

Yeah, I was thinking Monster Only. I got this Mana Burn idea from Diablo II.

Drains are reserved for HP! D<
Edit: Oh, and let's make another skill that drains all your SP, MP, and HP within a 1500 range. And then another monster skill allowing them to teleport in front of your face after you hit them, even with Windmill. And then another monster skill that allows them to copy your skills. And another monster skill that makes them invincible for a certain amount of time. And another monster skill that increases their damage by 1000x (but not Counterattack output) for a certain amount of time.
Seriously, wtf is the point of this...

You know, there is a difference between Drain and Burn.

They should make a monster skill that turns stamina/mana to zero, and hp to deadly for all players in the room.

What was the point of your post? It would have been sufficient enough to just say, "I don't think this would be a good skill at all, and I fail to see the point of it."
As for the skill itself, would there be a way to defend against it? Or is if just like a no-mage battle?

what about Ragnarok Online's Mana Burn for players? 70% to drain the user of their mana and deal x2 mana in damage at max, while failure will cause the user to lose their mana and receive damage.

You defend it by turning around and using evade just as you would with fomor life drain?

I'm kind of reliant on Mana Shield in certain situations, but this still sounds like a pretty fun idea. Maybe once I feel like I'm not being challenged enough, I'd think about it. For now, I'm too newb to be as happy about it. Must improve!
