I've noticed that no one's buying silks or fabrics anymore. But they do buy thin and thick threads. Aside from that... don't notice much else.
Though making supposed-to-be-rare items more common through events and other such chances does water down an item's price.
Really, though, if you wanted to make a profit you could..
1. Sell holy water at a slightly cheaper price than normal (and in doing so help return it to its previous price)
2. Sell thin/thick threads to budding weavers with money.
3. Sell herbs to potion makers.
4. Etc.
Training materials are often a good source of profit, so I'd say look thataway if you want some quick quid.

It sucks right now. There are to many things to buy, and no gold for people to buy. This mainly due to the Double Rainbow Event since its asking a huge demand on life skills and items for them. Especially ore and stuff for enchant and weaving. With this being said there is a huge demand for these items and since bots are selling so much ore, people are giving them all there money and withthat, untill people start buying gold from their websites and use that buy other stuff, where in a slump.
I've had a Yellow Flashy Dye for 2 weeks now. It hasn't sold at 1m, 900k, 800k not even 700k. So now I'm forced to sell it at 600k. Why? Cause everyone is broke. White dyes. I sold my last pure for 400k but now I have to sell this one at 300k. Ring Bows are now all 75k and those Star-Shaped Mage Outfits, I could probably put them at 10k and no one would buy them.
The truth is that the Double Rainbow Event, with all its goodness, is ruining the mab economy. This whole week no one has SM'd, no has done dungeons because why when it can be more rewarding to do it in this weeks Double Rainbow Event.
Now I know 1 thing for sure is that I'm definitely spamming Their Method HM this weekend on x4 drop so I can atleast make some money. I have 2 stores up now trying to earn something and I'm getting nothing.

This. Money needs to be added to the economy, and monster hunting, fomor scrolls, quests, and farming are the only ways to do this. With less and less people doing these things, and bots draining money (via ores) and not being able to sell the gold that they get, the money is drained out of the economy.
I believe I made a post about this =P

Actually, I think the Rainbow event has stimulated the economy more than anything else has recently. It's causing people to stock up on life skill materials, and work on production. I know that I've personally dumped like 6-7mil into the economy just from buying leathers. ;;
What I think destroys the economy is this silly notion that items=gold. People have items WORTH 1 or 2mil and think that therefore, it's equivalent to the liquid monetary value and try to use it as part of trades. No, I don't want your silly flashy muffler and I don't care if it's 'worth' 2mil, that doesn't mean anything to me unless it actually sells. Also, this reliance on bot gold? Wow. There are plenty of other ways to get money, and plenty of other ways to get herbs and ores. Raft a little, run around solea a little, dungeon a little. Farming's also an easy way to get some extra spending money. Some shadow missions, if you can reliably do them, also drop ridiculous amounts of gold. Or what happened to good old fashioned red gemming? The economy isn't destroyed, people just have to work a bit harder for the things they want. :x

Mods follow some form of the same system the Mabinogi value system is worth.
Dustin is like 400k if you check the value using mods, so why not go back down to the original value? :S

Nicely put. Also; 1m Muffler + 1m Flashy dye =/= 2m. Once the item has been dyed the price will drop. People need to learn that their items will depreciate no matter what, not because they become old, but because of the flow of the economy, which leads me to...

It's only natural that dyes price drop. I remember when I could buy a fixed WHITE dye for 200k and flashies were 400-1m until Nexon changed the Premium Service. Then everyone thought it would be a nice way to increase their income by INFLATING the price of dyes. Well it lasted for a few months, what you're experiencing now is the ACTUAL price of these goods. That's a good thing.

I disagree. The Rainbow event has only staggered 1 week's worth of sms and I doubt that would make any drastic change. This economy thing started long before the Rainbow event took place. In fact, I think the Rainbow event is helping put more gold into the economy. Last weekend, I made 200k from like 1-2 SMs just picking up gold drops because 2-3 monsters I killed dropped like 2k-5k without lucky finishes. Since the exp is doubled and ap is doubled, everyone would be extremely motivated to train during this event and since this event also doubles gold drop rates, you get twice the amount of gold you usually do.
But of course, I don't think this event would be a good thing to happen often since it would make the game too easy, so it wouldn't be a solution to this economy problem. I think that honestly, the bots need to come back. If bots weren't here since the beginning, the economy might not have relied on them too much, but since they were such a huge presence, now that they're gone, it's suffering. Either they come back or maybe Nexon should make gachapons release checks, ahahaha. Then at least players who spam gacha won't only get items they can't sell.
I agree that more people need to actually pick up their gold drops and dungeon/farm/whatever for pure gold, but I think a lot of people are too lazy to do it (especially richer players), since they used to be able to make 1-2 mil a week just selling rareish items. Spend a little time to hunt a good item, then let it sit in your house. Easy money! That's how I used to make money. But now I've realized I have to wait a couple weeks to sell my rareish item at a value way lower than before, so I'd rather just farm.

Has it ever occur to you maybe that the people who actually want that kind of dye is actually a very small niche of the population? I wouldn't even want it for 100k. There is only so much Ring Bows the population can buy because Ring Bows aren't destroyed/used up so easily compared to life skill materials.
These are the type of stuff that people try to sell at high prices, and then complain the economy is bad because noone wants their stuff.

lol, I agree. I hate those people who try to put a flashy dye on some crap item, and tell me it worth like several millions. I always tell them that if it worth millions, go sell it, and then talk back to me.

If your aim is to NPC, yea, it would boost that economy that way, maybe. Trading with each other doesn't really increase the total money in the population though.

Well I think its fixed. All you have to do is give the price in what they want. They want a yellow flashy for 600k? Done. If they want a White Dye for 300k? Done.
For me atleast I've fixed my money problems. I am now richer then ever till g13 comes around and ruins that fun...but then again which could make my awesome money source even more awesome.

I'd say that it's obvious the problem is that there's more items to sell than there is gold to use. Mainly because Nexon keeps dumping events with rare items on us that get most people to figure that when they're poor, they'll just wait for an event to drop in and profit off of the items in it.
It's as if most players that are new don't even know that Albey Red Gem was once a god tier place to grind for raw gold.
