my guild is DEAD. there used to be 3 active members, including me. the other 2 are my friends. one friend doesn't log in much any more, and the other friend's main quit to join a field boss guild (he loves to hunt them). so now im all alone really. the field boss friend's giant is still in the guild, but these days he plays his main more. my guild leader comes in very seldom, (he is very busy these days), and when i do call him to log into mabi i suggest doing something with him, and he almost always responds "i dont feel like it... its too tiresome." something like that.
ugh. i want to be in an active-ish guild~ somewhere to turn to when all my online buddies are afk or busy. these days i'm just alone, and it really isn't fun sm'ing by myself, and no one to talk to.
my guild leader made this guild because one of our friends suggested it. that friend asked me to join the guild when they were gonna make it and i gladly agreed, because i wanted to be in the same guild as them. now when i told my guild leader that i want to try another guild, he said that i don't even recruit people and that it was my idea in the first place, and how could i just leave the guild when it was my idea. it was NOT my idea, i merely helped to make it, and i just supported the making of the guild idea, as opposed to joining up with an existing guild idea. i have recruited a lot, as some people can tell you. i've advertised endlessly in the guild's beginnings, but the problem was that when people were interested and they joined, they quickly found our guild to be empty and dead. so they leave after a week. i know it is very hard for a guild to grow when it is just created. it's just that, he is the guild leader and he should be trying to make the guild fun... he should be the one that tries to recruit people the most. i told him that he doesnt want to do anything, and that he's never on, but he merely says that he is really busy these days. i understand that, but he tries to pin the whole guild on me~ saying that if i leave he'll disband the guild. ugh. im just frustrated~ i guess im stuck with a dead guild for the rest of my mabi life.
on another note~ im going to chicago for my bro's navy boot camp grad tomorrow !! :D <3<3<3
he so coolio. *3*

You don't owe it to him to stay if he won't even sign on. Its okay to move on; looks like your other friend already did.
edit: It's kind of rough that he wants to pin responsibility on you, even though he is the guild leader. But you're right, leading should be his job, not yours. I hope it won't break your friendship, when you leave.

If you leave the guild dies.
If you stay the guild is already dead to begin with.
Rather than suffer for a dead guild why not leave and do something you actually want to do?

Just join another guild!
Who cares about that guild you're in?
If it ain't active, don't live with it.
It's what I do.

Yea, no. Inappropriate images aren't okay, even if they're "censored".

Just leave.
I'm in a similar situation a while back. I left my almost empty guild and talked to the current leader about it. The previous two leaders left Mabi, while a couple of the active people left the guild because they wanted to experience a different guild environment. He understands and says that the guild is probably going to be disbanded soon after his service is over anyway.

Isn't that what the Friend's List is for? You can still talk to him, even if you're not in the same guild. Hell, join a new guild, and then when he's done with college stuff, invite him to the guild you joined.

Last time someone did that, he still did not become a pokemaster and he still has X number of series to go through.

I agree with Arsik that the friend list will be more useful.
I find that it's not necessary to be in the same guild to keep contact with people in the game.
I'm guildless now and I still have a couple of friends who I go dungeoning with or talk to once in a while. There are some people who moved on so I don't bother them anymore.
