Who are you telling. To be honest, I think I'm the only person on Ruari who actually has upgraded Battle Swords with the coupons. I've often had people go HOLY **** or Fing sweet battle swords, and HOW DID YOU MAKE THEM LIKE THAT?! Right now, I'm just waiting for a conversation where someone asks what's the best sword, and one person goes broads, and then I show my Battle Swords to them.
Was talking in general to those who tell me the coupons aren't worth it.

No you heard me wrong. What I meant was like, Boy...who are you telling, or I know right?

The regular upgrades for battle swords are already pretty decent imo - getting the special upgrade gives you a +4 min and max and +3 crit advantage over the regular one. I mean I guess it's really up to the player to decide if it's worth it but personally if I were to get the coupon, I'd much rather use it on a bastard sword than battle sword, just because it gives a much greater advantage with the coupon upgrade over a regular one and as human melee you'll probably be spamming wm anyway. But since I play elf, those coupons don't really apply to me.. 0-84 warhammer is the way to go :D

Actually, I find the Hatchet is a better weapon than the Warhammer with the coupon. 75 max normally, 78 if +3 max monster drop, and 81/84 with gem upgrade. But if you add Frenzy Caliburn, you have 104 max and 47% crit, then add axe mastery. 124 max and 62% crit. Don't even get me started on those evil Francisca's.........

but a warhammer is so much better, I don't see why you would bother with emporium coupon for a hatchet. An 18 dura 6-53 warhammer would upgrade to 89 max damage and 37% base critical after gem upgrade, and adding maxed wyllow + caliburn to the warhammer you would achieve 57% critical and 111 max. not to mention, blunt mastery gives you +37 max damage, landing you a grand total of 148 max and 57% critical. I think warhammer is a pretty clear choice here, unless blunt mastery isn't available to elves :P
Even if I opted for the easier option of goddess caliburn, I'd still take 24 max over 14% critical any day for a melee weapon, when I already have a good amount of crit, or 20 max over 5% critical if I went with the tradable cypress enchant rather than goddess.
dex shouldn't be an issue since elves are range anyway

While that is true, I'm trying to be a bit realistic, as Wyllow enchants aren't that easy too get.

which is why I listed goddess and cypress as alternatives, both of which, for cases of wm spamming, pvp, etc, will work better than frenzy/berserk caliburn on a hatchet

I have forgotten to check my wine also, don't worry. One time, I forgot it over night, and it was a school night, so I logged on in the morning just to change it. My guild leader forgot one time when he used too do it. I still remember seeing him realize it and start running from Taillteann saying," MY WIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEE!"
I had asked Milk at first, cause he was interested in it. He helped me get the coupons for my Battle Swords. The only mission we'd be able to do together is just Protect Corrib Valley, which apparently, the wiki listed rewards don't show anything THAT useful, aside from the spike enchanted Battle Swords/B@stard Swords. The Smell of Wine is a much better mission imo, and heck, if you were to get into winemaking Diety, you could reap the benefits of mission yourself. It's not hard at all too me, I die from a mistake and that's it. That Crag Cow might take awhile for you to kill, unless you use your Thunder; 10k hp, and you don't have poison.
Maybe when i'm not lazy or doing college work then just maybe.

What are the stats on your Battle Swords? Even with the Coupon Upgrade, it only gets 1 more max and 1 less crit compared to a Broadsword. The only thing that Battle Sword has over Broadsword is the 24 min (which many people won't care about) that comes at the cost of 19 balance.
Also for anybody interested, I
did make a Wine Making guide a little after Tara first came out. It did mention the large amounts of experience and upgrade coupons in it too...

I care about min :(
balance shouldn't be an issue for anyone since we are looking at end-game goals (I hope).. it's kind of like that's the weap that you'll eventually want to be able to use because you'll have enough dex to handle the low balance... but an upgraded battle sword isn't that, and war sword already beats it (with less costly repairs too). And apparently there are better swords released in g13 and most likely more onwards.

My Swords aren't that special. They're the way you described them. I just it's just that people see battle swords dropped, hardly upgrade them, and just think Broads are the way too go. When they see mine, I guess that they're shocked they could become as strong as Broads mostly.

Hey, where's the option "I've tried it, but I failed at it"?
I don't know, I guess using touch pad is really handicapping compared to a mouse. Too bad my mouse isn't what it used to be.
