I love my DeathAdder :> and I play way to many FPS games to not take the offer of mouse/ keyboard.

I play quite a few FPS', and I tried Vindictus on Mouse/Keyboard, but I actually prefer it on controller. Since the game pretty much plays like a console game (very similar to PSO/PSU in my opinion) it was very easy to just plug in a 360 controller, tweak the settings a bit, and go at it. The only downfall is that unlike 360, most people prefer to type instead of speak, so I have to put down the controller from time to time to type.

I prefer mouse/keyboard, I tried a 360 controller, but after about 45 mins I felt much more at home with the mouse/keyboard. To me, it feels like I have a bit more freedom, and my hands aren't scrunched together.
Maybe it's because I haven't played on a console in over a year, and so I just grew to be much more comfortable using the mouse and keyboard over controllers. The only time I actually prefer a controller is for platformers, like Super Meat Boy or something, it drives me up a wall trying to play a platformer with the keyboard, hehe.

How is it with a controller? Is it difficult to get used to?

It's difficult to stop using a controller after you use a controller.

For those who actually want to aim manually when doing combat, turn off "Auto aim (when throwing a spear)". The description is wrong, it has nothing to with throwing a spear.

really its pretty easy to get used too, it pretty much takes about as much time as it will take you to tweak the settings. i found it kinda fun

Little off topic, Good game :P
Back to the topic. I use to use keyboard but then I decided to try out the controller and I find it much better than that of keyboard and mouse. I also use a keyboard emulator to get a few buttons on my controller that you can't put on there with the normal settings(like F12 for example, and to emulate the mouse when I am too lazy to use my actual mouse to click things like when I have it on the TV and i sit far away from my laptop lol.) I tried going back to keyboard one day and yeah.. after using the controller it is hard to go back.

I'm terrible at aiming with a controller, and one of the things I'm somewhat good at in Vindictus is aiming for breakable parts, so I'm not sure I'd want to switch to controller xD It's one of the reasons I tend to shy away from Bowguns when I play Monster Hunter Dx But then again, aiming for specific parts on a monster in that game is a bit easier, since most of the breakable parts are quite big =P

It does take a little work but after playing FPS games it isn't all that hard to aim with the controller, that's what I find anyways. I had trouble aiming with the keyboard so I guess it is just mostly preference.
