I am outraged that Mabi JP and KR fixed the (bug) with hailstorm. Hailstorm use to be a wonderful epic damage spell that used 57 mana, but now it uses a grand total of 170mp to use for its full duration.

Mana consumption Chant: 50
Maintenance [/ s]: 4
Currently, consumers have lost even from the enemy fire and maintain a(Corrected to keep consumers consuming.
From Mabi Wiki JP
The only good part i see from this is that you supposedly use 2% less mana on hailstorm for every 100 int that you have.
Mana consumption INT100 2% for each preparation time is reduced. Shall exercise such short time in charge.
I'm am sorry my post is so short, but ima little pissed right now. If there is any foreign players that can expain this. Please do.

I'm outraged as well!

wow that means the most reduction is 18%.
Unless you wear 10% mp set.
and such.
But dang, it's good but not THAT good with all that mp drainage.

I wonder if they stack or compound with the Ice Mastery, wand MP reduction, and such.

I think they're multiplicative.

I don't even have that much MP.. Course I'm not a mage.

Then, with 600 int (12%), R1 Ice magic Mastery (20%), Reduction set (10%), reduction wand (20%), you would get 77% reduction o-o
what.
EDIT:
That was not correct. 0.88*0.8*0.9*0.8= 50.6% makes 49.4 reduction

Hailstorm's shot rate needs to be improved to make up for this. Its not powerful enough if its going to cost that much.

There goes any reasoning that magic needs to be nerfed.

It may be a bug fix, yes, but the fix is one that affects players negatively, since now they can't abuse an advanced magic, one that wasn't intended to be spammed. The way I see it, it's really no different than AR before it got nerfed, where the user actually
gained SP while using it instead of having the SP drain. While yes, I don't think people should be QQing about it, since it was a bug and all, but I do understand why they're QQing.

Magic needed no nerf whatsoever.
They introduced Hailstorm to make up for the loss of power for Adv. Magic skills, but now it's so not efficient. :( Sux.

Um, It SHOULD cost the most out of any of the current spells. Honestly 170MP isn't bad. When I think high tier magic, I don't think it should be something you can spam stupid all the time. Even MAPLE STORY is putting a cool down on their top tier spells for mages. Besides, there's ways to get around the MP via mana reduction, pot poison (see Archibald's Mage guide), and of course demigod.
