Where Happy Meals Are Illegal on Yahoo!7 Video
Apparently, law makers say the toy accompaniment alongside the happy meal, entice the children to 'want' that unhealthy fatty food. So they banned them.
People are pissed, cause they like the choice (Albeit even if it's bad) to feed their children whatever they please. I will have to side with the parents on this one.
Unrelated, yet still related:
Do want iron man happy meal!
I wonder if mcdonalds will be elementary school contraband, like KFC in that one southpark episode.
Also, this is only in one county of southern california.

What a waste of a law. So now instead of the toy being the cause, when people still buy fast food then what will be the problem then. A waste of space is what it is, cause they can go to another town and get the toy there.

Pff, not my choice.
My mother hates fast food. So I never get a chance to eat it.

Ban all advertisement as well, because it makes me want things.

Well this is stupid :srsly?:
Though I'm happy that it's not illegal here, but they shouldn't have made it in the first place :U
Reminds of all the things they did to Sesame Street :T_T:

I can still see where their (fail) logic is coming from.
Kids don't care about their kids meal. They just want their toy.
Remove the toy, and they don't care what their parents buy them.
I'm an observer, I would know from working behind the counter.

What I never understood...(even as a kid), was why people cared about those cheaply made toys...
I'd much rather have gone to Toy's R'us for a toy, than buy food just to get some little thingiemajig, that will just end up on the car floor before we finished the ride back home from the restaurant.
Maybe I'm the only one, who actually went to mcdonalds for the kickass fries as a kid.
w/e the kids will just eat the full sized meals now I guess...thus making them even more unhealthy.
Unless they ban those too.

They're worth exactly 1 dollar in sale tag price.
You try finding better toys for a dollar.
Maybe army men, but you won't top that.
And burger king has a 7 inch tall iron man figurine right now.
