If someone casts Rank C Insane Reaper, but then I override it with my Rank A Insane Reaper, does the person that previously casted it lose the caster's bonus, only continuing to receive the party bonus that MINE gives?
Or do they continue to receive the caster's bonus, AND I receive the caster's bonus?

Good question. My assumption is that it overrides the superior buff, so he keeps his player bonus because it is greater than the party bonus.

This, I assume it's the same as Berserk for Lann where my rA berserk overides all >:D

It sort of sucks when someone uses their rank B when the rank A still has time on it, and it wastes the SP.

I know that it overrides the party effect. I'm just wondering if the previous caster gets to keep his casting bonus, or if I'm essentially being a jerk and stealing it away from him.

Well, if yours is better than his, and rewnews the time, that doesn't really make him want to complain, does it?

Probably going to completely replace the current effect as I don't see how two of the same buff could go on at the same time.
If the buff was split into two then it would be possible but it comes as one package.
Hopefully you won't even have to deal with this since your party should use IR only when there's no IR currently in effect.

I'm sorry but I think you guys (aside from Finnea) are misunderstanding me.
What I'm saying is:
Insane Reaper Rank C:
Restores 7 Stamina every second to you.
Restores 4 Stamina per second to your party.
Insane Reaper Rank A:
Restores 10 Stamina every second to you.
Restores 5 Stamina per second to your party.
If someone casts Rank C, they are receiving 7 stamina per second, and I am receiving 4 stamina per second. However, I want to receive 10 stamina per second, so I cast my rank A.
Is the person that casted before me now receiving 5 stamina per second instead of their original 7 stamina per second? Have I essentially stolen 2 stamina per second from them, by overriding with my better rank in order for me personally to get 10 stamina per second?
Or do they continue to receive 7 stamina per second, AND I receive 10 stamina per second, AND the party receives 5 stamina per second?

It most likely over writes and you get 4 stamina per second. And if you then cast it, you'll over write theirs. At least, that's my guess based on somewhat common sense-ish, which we all know that Nexon sometimes doesn't follow. lol.
*shrugs* I'd just say that one person cast it, wait for it to wear off and then cast yours. It's more beneficial to everyone this way.

I agree with PandaSong on proper SP skill usage, though I'm also curious about exactly how this would work. Anyone up for an experiment?

I wouldn't normally overwrite, but in fast runs like Hidden, it is more beneficial to the team for me to overwrite theirs, giving everyone an extra 1 stamina per second. The rounds lasts less than 2 minutes on the spider, and the skill is always still active by the time the round ends anyway.
I'm assuming what I said earlier is the case since it seems to make the most sense (they continue to receive 7 stamina per second, AND I receive 10 stamina per second, AND the party receives 5 stamina per second), but I'd really like to test this out with someone.
Someone on East want to test this? I assume we could just mouse-over the Insane Reaper icon to see the rate its going at

It only overwrites when it's a lower stamina per second. You can't knock other evie's insane reaper off.
At least, that's what an evie told me.

Intex wrote on 2010-12-10 06:57
^Apparently that's the case.
I used a lower ranked IR over a higher ranked IR and it said something like "No affect applied, stronger effect in order." but gave me my bonus.

I tested it also and noticed something odd. If an Evy uses rF Insane Reaper, giving herself and everyone 4 stamina per second, and then an Evy with rA uses Insane Reaper, the rA one will overwrite everyone except the Evy who used the rF. >_> Which kinda sucks because she's getting 4 per second, and everyone else gets 5, and the second Evy gets 10. So yea... basically the rules are as follows:
Lower rank cannot overwrite higher rank. Higher rank will overwrite lower rank, except for caster's buff (even if caster's buff is lower than the party version).

hahah, great finds! Thanks for testing.
