Been wanting to work on one for a while since nobody really goes deep intellectually into ranged (publicly at least). Anyone willing to help out? Or think its worth it?
:what:

I thought there was a few? That Archer Guide by that Daisuke person or whatever, and that Elf Handbook-Guide-things are good range guides.
I am so good at names. :D

I mean further. Something along the lines of Triggers guide but for range

In depth? You have a lot to cover when it comes to magic. Thats why Triggers guide contains so much info. I'm not sure if range can get anymore in-depth. >_> You don't really have much too cover anyway.

Further? There isn't much to range. Human has like 3 range skills, giants have none, and elves has like a few more skills...
+1 skill if you count support shot.

Was thinking more along the lines of
-Tactics using the newer skills, and any overlooked tactics
-Damage calculations for non-life skilling build
-Damage calculations for ranking dex increasing skills one at a time (1 char with refine, 1 with playing instrument, 1 with weaving etc. etc.)
-Damage calculations for having multiple dex increasing skills raised
-Damage calculations for enchants
-In-depth elf strategies
-In depth human strategies
-Using pets to your advantage
-Role in a dungeon
That kind of stuff..... which I'm willing to put the effort towards if people want one.

You do realize that a non-life skill range person is similar to a melee person not ranking their melee skills or a mage not getting int/magic mastery for balance right?
Why damage skills calculated for one at a time? Just get as much dex as possible.
Just range/magnum/AR spam, it works in just about anything.
Enchants for melee/range don't have anything hidden though. It does what it supposed to.
If you think you have that much concerns/ideas/whatever, why don't you write one?

Cause some people like me have no desire to touch a life-skill, just started my first ever lifeskill EVER in an MMO tonight.....
So I was just gonna cover the bases see which skill is more beneficial to the player.

Well, he's in need of help, so I doubt he would write a guide.

Done
Pretty much.
Honestly, some calculations are just not necessary. Like Magic Balance - by the time I even bothered to think what my balance was, I already had 100%.
Likewise, not knowing Damage calculations shouldn't prevent a clueless person from ranking things that add more damage. And it's obvious that something that gives more Dex/Damage is better, they don't need to calculate how much better or whatever.

Missing how it affects damage but yeah basically XD;;

Well, if you don't have much experience in ranking any dex skills, you might not completely comprehend the arduous tasks that are ahead of a beginner archer. There isn't too much to Ranged tactics, other than Lightningbolt/Firebolt+AR spam or hide behind Campfire and Magnum, etc.
Also, missing how what affects damage?

swipe --> point blank magnum --> summon new pet is a pretty nifty combo
Dealing with multi aggro using a bow is not very obvious.
Typical opportunities to assist a teammate in party play (ie smash --> single ar)
Crossbow play
Comboing with pet's ib/fb/wm
All things newbie archers would be interested in reading about, I'm sure.
